Unique Loot Drops Shadow Realm

Description
This is an add on for my mod Unique Loot Drops. It's still in the early phases.

It needs to go second in the load order. It also requires gift bag 5 as well as Norbytes Script extender.

The mod adds a portal near the Lady Vengeance way point in Arx.





The portal takes you to 1 of 5 , so far, randomly chosen arenas and creates enemies with randomized attributes/skills/talents. Kill the boss to unlock the next difficulty level as well as getting an item from the mod with additional stat boosts. The goal is to keep fights challenging and progressing in levels difficult but possible by farming the super powered items from the bosses. So basically Diablo style game play in Divinity.



Current Goals:

Currently I am working on how effects and skills are applied to enemies. As it is now things are too random. Enemies get too many useless skills and rarely make use of the effects they have. It's also very rare to see enemies use their weapons. So I am working on cutting down the number of skills they get and also prioritizing skills that make use of the effects they have.

Items also suffer from a similar issue. They get so many bonuses that you can't see the whole Item card. I'm going to make it so they receive fewer, but larger bonuses, and also prioritize stats that are already on the item card.

Levels and lighting are still messy. To some extent that's due to having limited space on the Arx map to add levels but I want to make improvements there and also add some more levels/arenas to fight in. I think there is room for 4-5 more smaller levels.




Compatibility: Should be compatible with most mods. The exception would be mods that make changes to the map in Arx or have Gift Bag 5(armor sets) as a dependency. Due to limitations of the Editor I had to build the Shadow Realm arenas in the empty, which is to say anywhere where you can't walk to, areas of Arx. I'm not sure what would happen if this was activated with another mod that uses those same spaces but they obviously both couldn't use the same space at once. The Armor sets gift bag makes changes to the Ai Grid in Arx so I have made it load before this mod. This is not really supported by the editor so I had to use some trickery to do it. I would recommend setting this mod last in the load order if you have trouble getting it working.

Fixed a bug causing enemies to disappear if you didn't engage them quickly

-Added another level/arena
-Added Lizards as another enemy group bringing the number up to 12
-Made and enemy start location closer so that you can't start every fight with a free Lightning Storm
-Effects from weapons can now spawn as a 2nd effect on any item
- Put caps on enemy boosts to Leadership, Retribution, and Pain Reflection after I ran into an enemy with 25 leadership
-Adusted enemy/item stat generation numbers
-Changed the lightning on a few levels to feel more shadowy.

-Added a new level and two new enemy types.
-Fixed bug where Voidwoken Boss would spawn without minions.
-Adjusted stat boosts for bosses.

This mod is pretty much dead but Unique loto drops rogue like is kind of its spiritual successor

is the mod dead/not getting updates anymore? was hoping to use it as a sort of psuedo-roguelite gamemode where i can grind gear and go through the difficulties.

Hey there, so I gotta drop something here for the author. I'm working on a full scale campaign mod and since it'll affect the Arx level as well as the ai grid pathing, I'm quite sure it'll mess with your mod. Which isn't something I want, I would like to make a patch for your mod to properly work with mine. However, I would need all 4 folders of your mod to correctly do so.I have 0 interest of doing anything else with your mod other than removing any conflicts and obviously be giving you credit for your mod and the ability to make the patch.

I'm not sure which of my mods might be conflicting (maybe expanded party size), but the area we load in doesn't have any exit after beating the boss.

I hear you, Ive never really made a mod and can only imagine making something like this could be a pain. And yah me personally I wouldnt mind it closing all quest as someone who heavily mods the game and have like 20 different cheat market NPC so I can just play the build I want and rush to mid/endgame. But I do love the weapons and armor, Making a frost paladin with all the Ice armor so i just giga heal everywhere I walk is so fun.

You should totally continue to work on this at some point after you are satisfied with your base mod. This one is very "unique" of anything else in the workshop.

It was just small compatibility update that was needed after updating the base mod.

The base mod got a huge update though
