Welcome to our guide on Early Game Health and what to look out for when it comes to healing in the early game. In the early game, some items heal you as you consume them. The first two that you will probably encounter are the Gas Blossom Vines and Medi Gel.

Gas Blossom Vines

These vines have a chance to drop when a Gas Blossom dies.

They will heal you for about half a bar of health.

Medi Gel

You will find plenty of medi gel scattered around in Scrap Heaps and around UWC equipment such as the Aurelius, Escape pods, or the camp.

These can also be researched, and crafted for 3 Bio Shrooms and 1 Tubing.

They will heal you for about 1 bar of health.

Another thing that will heal you is food that you will find scattered around.

Kepple Fruit

Both uncooked and cooked Kepple fruit will give you about 1/6th of a bar of health when eaten. This is a small amount but will add up to a lot as you eat to replenish your stamina.

Narnip

An uncooked Narnip will not replenish your health. If you cook a narnip it will replenish about 1/10th of a bar.

Gomble Berries

Both uncooked and cooked Gomble berries will give you about 1/6th health. The same as kepple fruit.

Another way of gaining health is eating cooked meat. Eating uncooked meat will damage you.

Cooked Urchin Legs / Cooked Chitterling Nuggets

These will both give you about 1/6th of health. The same as Kepple fruit and Gomble berries.



Cooked Grazer flank

From the meat dropped by Grogs. Gives about 1/2 a bar of health when eaten.

Cooked Viperlisk Steak

From the steaks dropped from Viperlisks. Gives almost a full bar of health when eaten.
