Description
"During the temperate seasons of late spring, summer, and early
fall, the steppe is the ideal battleground for armored and motorized
units. The vast flatland is accessible in all its parts and harbors with
only one natural obstacle-the so-called Balkas. These are ravines,
in many instances with high and steep slopes, overgrown with brush
and thickets. "

This is my first map. This is based off an area just west of Kalach and Volgograd.

Long range steppe warfare. For full enjoyment, I suggest downloading mods to increase view range, and cannon accuracy.

I play this mainly for skirmish. Included modes are battlezones, and Combat. This combat mode is made to work with another mod.

Units now have summer camouflage

Fixed formatting. Mod will show up in skirmish now.

Added small village and fortified areas on capture points. Should make things more interesting now.

WOAH! i love the new Map, it is so much fleshed out now, I will add this to a campaign im making :) will be based on your map, and that Hungary outskirts map, just need 1 more map to add, This map will be the Ukraine map i think, and be russia pushing germany out. / through ukraine.

In my opinion, adding a camp or a destroyed village might make this map more interesting.

Is it just finding it in editor? Or finding in game too?

I have a revision in the works with a few small tweaks, i'll include the formatting issue. I also want to find a way to stop the camera from clipping through the ground.

I was tempted to add a village, a few Isbas or a camp. I wanted the map to show the desolation and vastness of the steppe while I learn the editor.

Its supposed to be some random stretch of steppe on a supply route or something. Broken down/abandoned vehicles, choking dust, etc... and a big Balka in the way.

I am working on another map based on mamayev hill in stalingrad. I am learning the urban/details etc... there.

I might make a winter version of this map in the future and add some camps or make a mission out of this.

Got to say after i finally formatted it and loaded, it looks nice man, i think if you add a real small village or a few scattered small farms, it would make it even better, or even destroyed farms/ houses as it seems the place already saw fighting. or some more Points of Interest/ than it would be easier to make a mission, or trenches and it could be a defend mission, expand the back part, with a small final stand village / area and can be really fun defense.
