Climate change
Why did I make my own implementation? The implementation of this mechanic in vanilla expanded is frankly bad. My implementation dynamically supports biomes and is well optimized. I also made it more realistic and added texturing to the rivers.




Supervolcano explosion
Lava destroys settlements, roads and objects on the map and solidifies after some time.




Glaciation of rivers and volcanoes
During global cooling, rivers will freeze, covering the world map with ice. In addition, they will become thinner with global warming.




Meteorites in World Map
Meteorites will fall on the planet, which contain many resources. You can collect them for yourself.




AI buildable channels and roads
AI factions will build roads and canals.

I love this mod. The challenge of setting the sun to die in 3-5 years and having to set up a colony deep in the mountains with hydroponics in order to barely cling on in a harsh world. Its amazing.

Hi ! I love the mod, thanks for it ! I noticed something a bit annoying : the climate change event deletes any geological feature or point of interest that was on the map before. It seems weird that a mountain circus or an underground bunker storage would disappear with the cold.
I also go to a place marked as a temperate forest with poplar tree grove on the equatorial part of the planet, and there wasn't a single standing tree (temperature were around -3°C).
Could you look into what is causing these, please ? It is a bit damageable with Odyssey as it sucks the fun out of moving around the map

I love the events here, they really add to the stories your colonies can produce. But some events feel a bit over-tuned, or way too extreme for their relative frequency. Climate change (warming/cooling) in particular feel insanely intense in comparison to VEE, and while I thematically love the death of the sun, in practice I think having it be an event that can end (however unlikely it might be) would make for a bit more of an enjoyable experience.

The latter might be a bit harder to manage (or far more unrealistic and outside the scope of changes), but maybe there could be a slider for "climate change intensity" that affects the temperature equilibrium that climate change moves towards? E.g. instead of +/-80C for the equilibrium, you could set it to +/-10C, 20C, et cetera. That way, you only get the Frostpunk-esque freezes or searing planet-wide deserts after successive climate change events.

@SKETCH If you have Vanilla Events Expanded installed, the Allowed Incidents settings show up under its settings instead.

hey the allowed incidents tab is empty when i bring it up,nothing shows in that menu is there some way of making it show? and for context it has not shown up at all since putting it in, any help would be awesome thank you :)
