Some more Simple Meal

A Rimworld Update made my mode less useful, by lower the bother of food with ideology

Another simple mod made for me: I was playing with my small colony when I got a group of vegetarian guests, at the same time of another large group, and clearly not enough vegetables.
So I had to use expensive fine carnivore meal to be able to feed everybody without have to do painful micro-management in kitchen and with zoning and stockpiles...

Last night I had the idea to add more variety for the simple meal. Of course we can already cook them with what we want, but they will be easily mixed together, we can't easily use food rules for them...

My mod add 3 news simple meal:
  • Vegetarian simple meal, cooked from vegetables and/or animal product.
  • Carnivore simple meal, cooked from at least one meat, with anything (meat, veggy, milk/egg).
  • Fungivorous simple meal, cooked from at least one raw fungus, with anything.

Also, the Raw Fungus become unchecked by default for all recipes (as human meat...).


Et voilà, now it's easy to feed for cheap the pawns from various ideology :)

I've been using this with 1.4. Doesn't seem to have much an issue.

Never mind. I found the issue and it was NOT This mod. It just blamed your mod, lol. As it stands, this mod works fine in 1.4 with no issues at all. :d5_prinny:

I'm trying to find a bug I'm getting regarding the priority of usage on ingredients. Usually my other mod works fine, but if I start using the carnivore meals in my kitchen, my cook will ignore perfectly good meat when set to cook other meals. We've done some testing and found this mod to be the culprit. Is there a way you could remove that function. I still like the idea of have my carnivore meals seperated this way, since I have colonists that can't eat veggies. But this causes a waste of meat for everyone else.

I'm using this in 1.4 for what its worth. Other than this issue, the mod works fine.

@Betute You can use/test it in 1.4, and tell me if there is no error. Then I can update the tag to 1.4

It is part of my mods that I don't use anymore.
Since the time I done this mod, Ideology is less picky on food, meals from various food sources are not mixed anymore, and pawns choose better which meal eat.

So the mod loosed big interest. Using Bill and Stockpile can do the same thing, the very few times it is needed.
There was still the uncheck of raw fungus, but another of my mods make them eatable again.

So I don't recommend this mod.
After, if it still working in 1.4 and only need to update the version tag, I can do it.
