ASTEROID SETTLEMENT Automatic Large Ship Grinder + XYZ Fixed Rail Crane

Description
** NEW capital class deconstruction/repurposing ship taking advantage of new groups function and large ship grinders - Old deconstruction vessels are now obsolete. GRIND (on) THEM! **

On the workshop, there are so many incredibly designed ships, both large and fantastical.
I have however aimed at craft designed with a more sci-fi 'realism' aesthetic in mind.

The ships are designed to look like they are composed of pre-built multi purpose components with reactor components (red), fuel tanks (blue), thrusters, storage, living quaters and industrial components all seperate. The aim was to make these craft look like they were tacked together using generic mass produced parts for thier specific function.
The 'fins' sticking off the intersteller craft are heat sinks for the reactor. I think heat build up should be a factor in this game.

This is something I have been working on for a while now and it is still very much a work in progress, but I'd like to share some of my ideas, developments and constructions.

In your fleet:
1x large long range intersteller craft
2x cargo hauler
2x deconstruction plaftform craft
2x Alpha Gunship escort
3x atmospheric re-entry shuttle
8x mining craft
5x heavy interceptor fighter craft
1x mobile deconstruction/repurposing station (NEW)

Stations include a habitable command center (mostly finished, just some interior work that needs to be done in the middle two communal areas (light blue) and there is a hole under the forward construction platform where a fuel tank will be located)

A grav driven drilling platform (command module needs to be constructed as well as docking for spare drill bit and construction for a wider 'second pass' drill bit is planned).

A ship yard where captured ships await deconstruction and repurposing. This platform also contains a production line for capital ships with a crane design that is very much in the early stages but will be incredibly effective when finished. Very proud of this particular design, but again very much in the preliminary stages.

Planned: Mobile defence platforms. Extremely heavily armoured and armed slow-moving defence platforms with a non-rotational docking platform for offloading of amunition and fighter craft storage. These will be positoned around the asteroid settlmend and act as border control, seperating military craft and civilian operations.

This is a big world and may lag you out, so I put the ships into another world for those that just want to fly around :).

Crane is fully operable on XYZ axies. All directions controlled by seperate cockpits. Conveyer system still needs work.

New ship added. Mobile deconstruction/repurposing station. Position ship in opening, make sure victim ship is powered down or it will fugg your sh!t up, reverse rotors in feeder reset group activate shredder operation and watch as it automatically grinds the ship in a few minutes. Survival ready. Don't mess with the rotors n stuff or things will go bad, unless thats what you want in which case go nuts.

Taz the Husky: Nope! It's fully functional and the crossbeam design makes it much more stable than the designs I've seen so far on the workshop. I plan on extending the drill beam and making a second pass wider drillbit to exploit the drill site as much as possible, justify the resources used in it's construction. Glad you enjoyed destroying it :P

Thats a really awesome drill platform, i saw it and was like this is just for looks but it actually works. Eventually I got a little carried away and put a bunch of artificial masses on top and then rammed that intersteller space ship into it at max speed. It made the game glitch up in a very very weird way. Something with the landing gears inside of it made it so anything nearby could accelerate past the limit in the game but I ended up getting stuck inside the dill area.

LOVE THE STUFF ALL OF IT. just wish the deconstuctun platforme worked could use some of the new grinders if it dose work then idk how but everythind is ba so far good work man
