EARTH EXPANSION ERA SHIPS

After months in the cavernous void, you arrive at the edge of an asteroid field with your forward long distance settlement fleet.
Your task is to create a habitable base for the rearguard arriving with scientists and civilians to create a way station for collonist ships through this sector.
It is to become a commercial hub for the region as well as a staging post for the settlers the collonist ships offload.

In your fleet:
1x large long range interstellar craft
1x cargo hauler
1x Alpha Gunship escort
1x atmospheric re-entry shuttle
2x mining craft
3x heavy interceptor fighter craft

On the workshop, there are so many incredibly designed ships, both large and fantastical.
I have however aimed at craft designed with a more sci-fi 'realism' aesthetic in mind.

The ships are designed to look like they are composed of pre-build multi purpose components with reactor components (red), fuel tanks (blue), thrusters, storage, living quaters and industrial components all seperate. The aim was to make these craft look like they were tacked together from generic parts for thier specific function.
The 'fins' stick ing out of the reactor component of the interstellar craft are heat sinks. I think heat management should be a factor in this game.

It's a pretty big world though and may cause some pretty serious lag.
