The good news is that the ECC patch doesn't need to be updated and you can start the game directly

Unfortunately, due to my personal academic problems, I don't have the extra energy to proofread any more compatibility patches. You might want to try out ECC compatible patches - I briefly looked at Bug Branch, which is closer to Classic - and I will take action to upgrade the ECC patch to version 3.3
