Lore:

The Shinukos race is part of a wealthy, advanced technological civilization that call the planet Belight home. Belight is a very unique planet known for it's curious underground crystal formations. These bright red crystals, frequently refered too as Blood Crystals, possess unique qualities that allow for the operation of advanced technological marvels, such as cloning! Many of the galaxy's industries have sought to possess these valuable crystals for themselves and so the Shinukos had needed to create powerful weapons to protect themselves and their planet.

Description:

This mod will add a new humanlike race that could be described as humans with fox ears and brightly colored eyes. Along with them it adds new cloning technology and several new armors/weapons to play with! The crystals also can be used as a construction material to make very beautiful decor! ;)

Help:

To be able to create clones you must first acquire Blood Crystals to power the machine. These crystals can be drilled for after researching and constructing the Crystal Drill. A pawn is required to operate the drill, which has a chance to spawn an infestation, after some time passes you will receive Blood Crystals for the cloning bay. The Cloning Bay will require around 200 Crystals to operate and take 1-2 days to finish it's work, operation is automatic and will not require a pawn to use it. Newly made clones will not have any skills and will require training before they are effective.

We had planned on expanding this concept and fixing the problems it had, but with the budget exhausted and the lack of experienced developers available at the time I guess we just lost interest in it.

I don't usually respond to comments on this mod but I think I should explain myself.

I was hired by Foxei to create his Shinukos idea in RimWorld, I originally joined the project as an artist who had recently been accepted into the Mod Market. I was very inexperienced and I'll admit that the quality of my work was much lower than the standards I held it to on later projects.

This project in particular was very ambitious but simply did not have the budget to make it happen, nor did it have experienced developers available to work on it. Foxei ended up asking me to write the XML for some of the simpler parts of the mod, eventually expanding to more complicated pieces that he knew I was inexperienced with. Discounts of course were provided but in the end the budget was exhausted and I was unable to fix many of the bugs we found along the way.

Hey! Hows it going, I don't know if you still update this or move on but, the VR trainning table and the training table doesn't work for me, I don't know why, I built both and both did not alter stats. Any rate take care!

To explain my previous comment: The race armor was not designed to be worn by anyone but Shinukos. Instead of the armor being race-locked, however, all non-Shinukos turn invisible, prompting ridiculous amounts of errors until the armor is forcibly removed. To make matters more annoying, a lot of what this mod adds is just thrown in as a series of random researches that are clustered together in the normal tab instead of in their own, clogging the damn section.

That isn't the end of the issue, however... I could live with the galant and krentin being constantly spawned every time I check for underground mineables (seriously, though, fix that. It's more than 75% of the things that spawn. Why would you fuck up all ore spawns like that?), and I could even possibly ignore that the modder doesn't upgrade anything. What I cannot ignore is that this was a commissioned mod where the buyer didn't feel it was necessary to test anything.

This mod is the single most annoying race mod I have ever downloaded. Stuffs my scanner with galant and krentin and adds a race that generates thousands of errors because the race-specific armor is being worn by a pawn of a different race.

Do not get this mod.

Okay lemme see if I can make more plain.

Weapons, Armor, Building, and other objects in the mod just seem to take Steel and Plasteel.

Meanwhile Krentin and Galant, the materials added by the mod, are only used for some buildings, replacing the normal mats(So like a Galant Door, or Krentin Table), but they don't seem to be actively used in most the items added by the mod, short of specialty floors and walls.

So are the two materials JUST for walls and random buildings? Like I don't need Krentin and Galant for anything else this mode provides besides the walls and floors?
