Description
Nieuport 11 Bébé (1:1 Scale)

The Nieuport 11 Bébé was a French World War I single seat sesquiplane fighter aircraft, designed by Gustave Delage. It was the primary aircraft that ended the Fokker Scourge in 1916.

This small sesquiplane outclassed the Fokker Eindecker in every respect, including speed, climb rate and maneuverability. It featured ailerons for lateral control rather than the Fokker's wing warping, giving lighter, quicker roll response, and its elevator was attached to a conventional tail plane which provided better pitch control as opposed to the all-moving, balanced "Morane type" elevators of the Fokker.

The engine uses air scoop, so as the plane gain airspeed, air intake increases and almost doubling the engine power output.

Update: Added mouse control

@Kirbcake,
I tested it now, it can takeoff without any issue. But I see that its max speed is now 183 kph, it was 207 kph when I last updated it in March.

You need to gain enough speed on runway before beginning to leave it. It's small WW1 plane with realistic engine power (80HP).

This thing seems to no longer be able to take off under it's own power, it needs a ramp, but even then it tends to stall out

Update:
- Vehicle & fuel weight and engine power are adjusted to realistic level.
- Updated SPECIFICATIONS section in the description.
- Fixed exhaust problem caused by the change on catalytic converter.

so i found that its not the stock aircraft itself, its the extra weight from the weapons i was adding onto the aircraft. nothing is wrong with the aircraft itself.

i think there is some sort of issue with the cooling, or maybe its just me putting heavy weapons on to the aircraft. but i think it might need better cooling. i will run the aircraft without any modifications to see if it still catches fire.

Updated:
- Added weapons
- Battery indicator replaced with ammo count indicator
- Removed neutral prop pitch behavior on ground when parking brake on
Thales  [author] 10 Oct, 2021 @ 3:32pm
Don't increase throttle on ground if parking brake is ON. When I add weapons I'll look at it if there's room for improvement on throttle/prop pitch management.
kirb 10 Oct, 2021 @ 2:28pm
Come in for landing at lowest throttle, then hit the parking break after i touch the ground while still holding down on the throttle, then shut off the engine and lower throttle to 0. Prop pitch goes to 0 and I just keep accelerating at a speed about twice that of a human running somehow until i either turn off the parking brake or smash face first into a wall and destroy the prop.

What did you do exactly in detail?
