Send it a string input of any of the words on the half-life-vox.com website and it'll play it
So e.g. you can wire a wifi receiver set to pick up radio chat to the relay and it'll then respond to stuff you say with your headset
I don't really know what i'm doing with barotrauma modding, but I think my Content Package thing is wrong and is causing the issue. I had intended for the mod to be in a folder called barotrauma-vox, but i didn't really understand what the XML was doing.
I'm still looking at it and i'll be playing around with trying to fix it proper soon (the folder structure i originally had and the one that exists in the mod when downloaded from the workshop is slightly different).
As for the range of voices - I wrote a script to autogenerate the mod from a collection of audio files, so it should have all of them and if you know of (or wanted to create) a better VOX with more useful words all we need is a folder of ogg files named after their trigger words (e.g. "delta.ogg" to say the word "delta").
To eeee:
No worries. I also feel like I want to share that I see great potential in an announcing system. I mean, I spent like 6 hours the other day trying to find all the words and sound effects in there. I cross-referenced with videos on the net showing all of the words the VOX could say, and it looks like you've implemented every last one. Just wow..That's amazing work!
I also tried figuring out how this could actually be used on a ship, everything from automated warnings about monsters boarding the ship to having a terminal in the command room that the captain/assistant would type important messages into.
The oggs are in "Barotrauma\Mods\Half-Life VOX\Content\Items\Vox"
