Description
Updated to version 1.7

Not completely tested for combat in 1.7. But it will spawn and should perform well.

NB! This ship is way over CPU, It needs Quantum, Aux or Hamster cores. I chose to save it without quantums, that way you can add what you have available. I will also highly recommend spawning it in creative first to adjust the weapons and shields to your choice,


After using IW Topaz for a while i felt the need for a larger ship with more storage, firepower and room for upgrading to end game items. So i started making Topaz larger and it ended in this ship. It's around 6 blocks wider and 12 blocks longer.

I have been using it in game on The Anvil server for 2 weeks before publishing. Have taken down a lot of Decimators and Infectors in addition to clearing out some drone fields. And i also used it in coop when doing the Dyson Sphere mission.
The ship does well on plasma planets as well, have tested it on 2,8G with twice the weight of the empty ship.

The version i use in game have been upgraded with more generators, T2 turrets, Bastion shield, Anti Matter pentaxid tank and warp drive.
Keep in mind that the anti matter warp drive has a weight similar to a small CV so it does slightly affect the performance. But the benefits are so great, i feel it's totally worth it.


UPGRADING:
Space for adding two advanced generators in the ceiling of the hangar.

Room for 26 quantums/aux cores in secure bridge. I have not seen the need for using the secure bridge yet in my testing/gameplay. So if you want to fit even more quantums than there is made space for, one option is to just fill up the entire secure bridge with cpu extenders.

Repair console is placed. By removing the block on SV deck with a dead skull symbol you can place a repair bay.

Space for more turrets and fixed weapons. Fixed Artillery weapons can be replaced with Artillery turrets.

I left some empty room inside the walls several places for future upgrade. Can be filled in with blocks for more armor, cpu extenders, decoy, thrusters or more fuel tanks/capasitors.


BATTLE:
This testing was done in V 1.5
When fighting Decimators and Infectors, i only use plasma turrets, when shield is down i aim for the core with fixed artillery. For fighting Nullifiers I set all Plasma turrets to target generators and CV only. All minigun turrets are set to only target drones.
For taking down POI's in drone fields i use fixed artillery to take out Drones, then plasma to take down shield and fixed artillery to blow the core.

NB! I do recommend some upgrading of the weapons before going in drone fields, After taking down 9 Nullifiers in one engagement i lost 6 turrets and a couple thrusters, so it's not the worst. But when you have better weapons, the repair bill will get lower.


Built to fit my playstyle, more intended for tanking than hit and run. But can also be used for agile fighting up to a certain point. I prefer having a ship that don't blow up if i'm outside looting and get surprised by a enemy ship.

1x88kl Cargo controller (used for pentaxid, have the right relation between slots and volume)
2x16kl Cargo box
4x8kl Cargo box
Several smaller cargo pallets

Total storage is around 2850kl

@Faelien I just tried spawning it in Vanilla, both in creative and survival, no forbidden blocks anymore, It might have been the quantum cores. Anyway, It works in vanilla, you might have to go to the statistic page in P-menu and turn down the roll a little, It's very agile in vanilla.

Hi. Yeah they changed the blocks for solar panels, remove old panels and install new, also remove the solar capasitors and it should work. I will update it as soon as possible.

I might do a vanilla version, have to look into it

Hey I love your ships! Is there any chance you can add a vanilla version of this ship to the workshop? I tried to make a vanilla version myself but because it was made with Reforged stuff I get id mapping errors. It will always say forbidden blocks for me no matter what I do :steamsad:

tthe solar panels was changed because of a nasty bug (it destroy a part of the ship as the older panel was a 'hacked' version of the BA panel) . Now the panel is better as it is based no more on sun position but it's a fixed -125 watt or -65 watt (depending of the size) on your direct consumption. the better part is that you can stack them or even put them inside your ship and it work the same ( solar corridors In your ship anyone ?) ... the road is open for new creative way to use them ... the only con, is that you can stock no more energy when you quit the game (as there is no more capacitors for CV )

Are the solar removed from Reforged Eden? Sorry just got back home after some weeks at work and haven't checked the latest updates, i will look into it. Thanks for letting me know

Hi Othar. The main reason for hidden thrusters in this one is due to it's prepared to work with the AntiMatter warpdrive. The weight on that is 4000tons and if i should have used free exhaust it would ruin the design.

On the Topaz XR it's done like that to be able to keep the vital parts protected and still keep the size compact.

I used to have non blocked thrusters for a period. But since the game setting that only allow non blocked thrusters can be buggy and is not recommended. I slowly moved away from it, but i still like to have some exposed thrusters for the look.
