Zuiquan12 will NOT allow me to revamp any more of his ships. This includes variants of the Olympus. I respect his decision to the fullest.

THE RMS OLYMPUS IS A "FICTIONAL" SHIP AND IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A 1:1 RECREATION OF AN OLYMPIC CLASS LINER

Proud to announce an updated version of the Olympus! She now has an even more complete interior! She has a max speed of 22 knots and a hefty range. If you don't run the engines at full power you can increase the range significantly. She requires as good of a computer as the original to run. I get a decent 10 physics FPS with my awful Intel i5, and EVGA GTX950-2GB.

So uhh, Stormworks got an update recently. It added an option to reduce lag at the cost of physics. If anybody has lag issues, feel free to comment how much this new Stormworks feature helps?

INSTRUCTIONS:
**Before spawning, make sure your physics detail is medium or lower. I can't seem to fix her spazzing out on physics detail of full.**
To start the ship head down to the boiler rooms through the engineering section on C-Deck amidship, or through the crew entry doors in the D-Deck reception room, or even the new staircase in the FWD cargo hold. First head aft in-between the boilers into the engine room, hit the "Activate All 4 Boiler Rooms" button on the wall, or activate all the boilers yourself, lol. The Steam valves are now linked to the throttle, and only work when the boilers have pressure! Make your way up to the bridge and utilize both Eng telegraphs to move forward.
She absolutely, positively needs to steam up before she'll move! Takes around 5-10 minutes, depending on the lag.

In case of emergency you have 4 signal flairs, 2 Morse lamps and the lifeboats at your disposal. To launch the lifeboats lower the winch until it is close to the boat and then turn on BOTH mags(the one inside the lifeboat, and the one on the davit itself) after the boat is attached raise it about halfway and then swing the davit outboard and begin lowering. To release the falls use the button inside the lifeboat or the one on the deck.

The anchors utilize a one key turn operation, turning the key releases the anchor restraint, lowers the anchor, turns on the mag when it hits the sea floor and stops the anchor chain from lowering further. To raise the anchor just turn the key again and everything will be reversed and the anchor will be stowed automatically. There is also manual raise/lower/release buttons if needed. WARNING do not raise both anchors simultaneously as the mags used to stow have a chance to connect to each other and tangle both anchors together.

SINKING:
Regarding the sinking behavior of the ship:
Despite the sheer amount of rooms I've added, she still sinks about the same as before. Including getting "stuck" at the final plunge.
To fix this, simply open all the doors leading to the engine/boiler rooms. As well as doors to allow the water to flow in easily. The boiler and engine rooms are the biggest obstacle in making the Olympus sink right.***

And finally this build would not have happened without a ton of help from the wonderful Zuiquan12, who made the ship in the first place.

***Note: The engines don't overheat now because they run on smart steam instead of diesel. Also, I've noticed she's considerably laggier now, and there's no longer a fix to the stuck issue.

Also a note: If the ship is spawning in frozen for you try lowering your graphics settings all the way and respawn it a few times, this usually gets it to spawn correctly then you can raise your graphics settings back up if you'd like.

Oh, uhhh. Iirc, firebox temps won't help, as the boiler builds pressure no matter how high it gets, though there is a 100-or-so degree minimum for pressure buildup.

Just one more question, what is the best firebox temperature setting for the time being, until this problem can be fixed?

thanks. However, I can't stress enough that I'm not the original creator of the vessel.
But yeah, due to recent updates, I kind of can't work on her much anymore due to LAG...

Well, as she stands now, she'll stop moving once the boilers reach around 15 steam. Guess I'll have to work on a hotfix soon.

Excuse me Nightscale, I always loved this creation, but it currently seems broken for me. I have followed the instructions to get her started up, but the ship's propulsion doesn't work for me. I've lit the boilers, got the steam valves opened all the way, and due to disabling engine overheating, have built up a good head of steam to 25.00 per boiler, all boilers. Yet the propellers will not spin, so she can never go anywhere. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?
