If you don't like being able to teleport while underground, you can always just NOT do that while you play... Consider it an opportunity to exercise self-control in the face of temptation.
Anyway, that's just IMHO, you're free to ignore.
Anyway, you ARE still surviving in this Survival mode: There's a penalty for dying, and you have to eat. If you want a more intense 'Hollow Knight'-like experience, just play Hardcore.
It doesn't seem all that OP to me. It mostly just spares you a lot of time back-tracking or drilling a tunnel up to the surface. It's not like this is a PvP game or anything...
Also beaming from underground is OP as hell, are you sure you want to keep this for survival?
