Removable City Center Buildings

Description
Summary
This mod allows the player to remove city center buildings through projects.
Main objective of this mod is to let you change the visual appearance of your cities as you like.

Don't like the walls on your city, but you had to build them for strategic reasons?
Now you can simply tear them down afterwards.
All your coasts are covered with ugly flood barriers?
Build them, wait till the sea level rises, then remove them, your coast tiles stay unflooded.

Notes
  • The removal projects are always displayed in the projects tab, even if the building is not built yet, unfortunately there is no easy way to hide them
  • The different walls are handled as separate buildings by the game, so for example, you can remove Ancient Walls while keeping the Renaissance Walls, so be sure to complete all 'wall removal projects' to remove them completely

To make this save-game compatible, the mod author just needs to add:

<AffectsSavedGames>0</AffectsSavedGames>

into this file: \steamapps\workshop\content\289070\2347024592\RemovableCityCenterBuilding.modinfo

It needs to be placed right under this line:

<CompatibleVersions>1.2,2.0</CompatibleVersions>

I did that on my file and loaded up a saved game, and it seems to be working perfectly.

If only it removes the graphics and not the actual building and its bonuses as well.

Thank you so much for this mod ! I love creating sprawling futuristic cities in the late game, and the city walls always makes the city-centers stand out in a bad way...

Oh ok, I thought you were talking about issues with save games which were started with the mod enabled. Unfortunately, I think this is not possible and as far as I know many mods behave like this. Sorry.

I added the mod mid game and no projects showed up

@NuDDen Ok, then unfortunatly I only can give you the same answer that I gave to @Flactine, the problem is that the 'builing removal projects' are always shown in the projects tab and even much more skilled modders than me in the Civfanatics forum didn't know how to reduce the clutter in a simple way. I'm sorry.
