IAR-316B ( Alouette III ) Utility Helicopter [5 years of service] -Fuselage Outdated-

Congratulations you have bought the blueprint for the IAR-316B or Alouette III call it however you want. This helicopter is very efficient and perfect for any kind of rescue. The alt hold is a little bit tricky but in rest everything should work perfectly fine. You think you have bought another old piece of rusty metal right ? Well you are wrong this is a fully modernized Alouette III with a new radar and system. After years of development this is still one of the best vehicles in my collection, of course it was updated every few months to be more and more advanced and less buggier.


IAR-316B is the Romanian counterpart of the french Alouette III. Romanian version has more firepower than the french one ( it uses russian rockets). Ingame it has 4 missile batteries , 4 laser guided rockets, 2 7.62 mg's and 6 "ATGM's" (Smokelaunchers to be exact).The engine is super efficent it can run at 42 rps with the help of the gearboxes, the main engine runs only at 14rps which makes it consume only 1L of jet fuel per second. This vehicle has been modernized to be able to be used in the world of Stormworks.

Step 1: Activate every light that you could use to make the rescue easier including landing light.
Step 2: Maintain radio contact with the person if possible if not try to guide him using the stab camera laser.
Step 3: Lower winches they are effective only for about 10 m.
Step 4: Bring up the rescue harness.
Step 5: Open the doors and tell them to grab the handles near the cockpit light.
Step 6: They can enter safely the helicopter.
Max speed can be achieved using alt hold and holding w and d or w and a (145kph) otherwise it can get only to 117kph

Rocket range 1km.
Uses gimbal camera laser to guide itself to the target.
Gimbal camera max range 1.5km.

Info: Aérospatiale licensed the Romanian aircraft manufacturer Industria Aeronautică Româniă to build the SA.316B as the IAR 316B. Manufacturing began in 1971 in Brasov, Romania, with production ending in 1987. These helicopters were built with the Turbomeca Artouste IIIB powerplant. 250 total units were manufactured with 125 remaining for use in with the Romanian military. The rest of the manufactured helicopters were exported to other nations including Pakistan, Angola and Guinea.

The cockpit of the helicopter is built for both a pilot and co-pilot to operate with excellent views through the spacious glass canopy. Two cabin doors open to the passenger compartment which can accommodate up to three passengers.

The IAR 316B was modified to carry weapon systems more readily available in the Eastern-bloc section of Europe to include 57 mm rocket pods, 7.62 mm machine guns and other anti-tank missiles.
