Galactic Expansion Industries proudly presents, The Alata

The The Alata is Galactic Expansion industries light salvage and light utility ship.

Commisioned after a request from a GEI captain for light salvage ship to better facilitate salvage operations after large scale battles, and thus the Alata was devised. Made in a short time it had some flaws that where addressed and fixed.

The Alata has been designed to be either a dedicated salvage ship, Dedicated miner. It also can serve as a light freighter although it is not designed for planetary operations with a full load. It has a built in T1 Shield and a warp drive. It is protected by 3 flak turrets.

Please no public re-uploads of this item without my "the original author(s)" express permission. This means no color reskins or place one extra block and call it good. That is a no go. However I am okay with with people making logical design extensions or Replica/redesigns/conversions of this ship in the spirit of the build. As you may have noticed I do not have a custom thumbnail for this workshop item. I do apologize for this. The Software I use for this was on the computer that is currently in the shop. I will update the header image as soon as I am able.

ive worked up a couple of quick slightly ugly examples of what i was talking about. ill drop one in on the server next time. i just know the issues we had salvaging with the elaka because of its shere size

I would still prefer using the Elaka T4 for those dangerous mining and salvage ops. That ship can go toe to toe with 20 plasma drones.

a warp capable, shielded, salvage ship ( you can also swap out the multi turret for a mining turret ) with 280ksu ore box , and two regular cargo ,96ksu and 280 ksu respectively. its got a couple of flak cannons and a gattling turret for swatting pesky drones with an 88ksu ammo box so pew pews for days. probably best suited as part of a fleet or operating close to base as it has no amenities other than oxygen station and first aid station. very nice build Akeva
