Description
Introduction:

This mod's purpose is to modify the RESEARCH TECHNOLOGIES aspect of the Vampire Counts, in order to expand the tech tree and make some community-driven adjustments, always in check to keep the gameplay meaningful and lore-friendly, while also taking care to not make OP changes, following the leitmotif of the Vampire Counts Fine-tuned series.

There are 19 brand new technologies to research, with their own particular effect, as well as an all-around adjustment to the more problematic techs.

Subjugated Fiefdom: Lahmian Book of Blood tech that grants +2 Public Order (factionwide) and +15% trade tariffs (factionwide).

Thaumaturgy: Lahmian Book of Blood tech that grants +10 power reserve to all armies.

Sorcerous Warfare: Lahmian Book of Blood tech that grants +20% weapon damage to embedded Wight Kings and Banshees.

Rapacious Thirst: Lahmian Book of Blood tech that grants +20% weapon damage to embedded Vampire Dignitaries.

LAHMIAN BOOK OF BLOOD CHANGES: Serve in Life and in Death (+5 Growth); Blasphemous Disciples (+2 Rank); Hexensnacht Sacrifices (+2 Rank); Infiltrate Noble Houses (+5 Diplomacy); Baleful Rituals (+1 Corruption); Vampiric Revivification (+10% Charge Bonus).

Savage Chiroptera: De Noirot's Blasphemous Bestiary tech that grants +5 MA to Fell Bats.

Lupine Cunning: De Noirot's Blasphemous Bestiary tech that grants +8 Charge and +4 AP Damage to Dire Wolves.

Voracious: De Noirot's Blasphemous Bestiary tech that grants +10% AP Damage to Varghulfs.

Night Haunters: De Noirot's Blasphemous Bestiary tech that grants +10% weapon damage to Vargheists and -1 Recruit Duration to Terrorgheist.

Bloodgorger: De Noirot's Blasphemous Bestiary tech that grants "The Ravenous Dead" to Terrorgheist.

DE NOIROT'S BLASPHEMOUS BESTIARY CHANGES: Master of the Swarm (-3 MD, -15 Armor, but +2 AP Damage); Leader of the Pack (+10% Weapon Damage); Fresh Prey Supply (+5% Weapon Damage); Fuelled by Fear (+5% Weapon Damage).

Skulking Fiends: Liber Necronomica tech that grants +5% PHYS RES and +10 Charge to Crypt Ghouls and Crypt Horrors.

Hexbag Haul: Liber Necronomica tech that grants -1 Recruit Duration to all vampire counts' war machines.

Bonesinging: Liber Necronomica tech that grants -30% Vigour Loss and +2 MD to all vampire counts' war machines.

Hails of Walpurgisnacht: Liber Necronomica tech that grants +15% MAG RES to all Wraiths (including Banshees, Black Coach and Mortis Engine).

Phantasmagoria: Liber Necronomica tech that grants -1 Recruit Duration to Cairn Wraiths and Hexwraiths.

LIBER NECRONOMICA CHANGES: Liber Necronomica (-5% living attrition); Cannibalistic Rituals (+5% Speed).

Carrion Lure: Arkhan Book of Bones tech that grants Swarm of Flies to all Zombies (not applicable to summoned ones).

Unearthed Graves: Arkhan Book of Bones tech that grants +1 Recruit Capacity (factionwide) and -5% Raise Dead cost.

Sepulchral Doom: Arkhan Book of Bones tech that grants +20% Speed and +15% Charge Bonus to Black Knights.

Wight Mastery: Arkhan Book of Bones tech that grants +2 Recruit Rank to graveguards and Black Knights.

ARKHAN BOOK OF BONES CHANGES: Risen Standard Bearers (105% Vigour Loss Reduction); Unnatural Strenght (+5% Weapon Damage); Risen Champions (+1 Rank); Bonds of Flesh (+20% recruit cost reduction); Bond of Bones (+15% recruit cost reduction); Dread Animator (+5 Armor); Rotten Gift (+5 Armor); Distribute Grave Gifts (+5 Armor); Master of the Putrid Horde (now it is a -60% upkeep reduction); Defiler of the Ancient Barrows (now it is a -40% upkeep reduction).

Compatibility Notes:

This mod should be compatible with most mods, with the stark exception of those that changes Vampire Counts tech-tree UI structure, or create new techs to Vampire Counts. Adjusting existing effects is fine.

This is compatible with Aexrael's Vampiric Resurgence

Also compatible with my Vampire Counts Units Fine-tuned, Vampire Counts Magic Fine-tuned, Vampire Counts Bloodlines Fine-tuned and Vampire Counts Lords and Heroes Fine-tuned.

This may be compatible with SFO, but I do not guarantee.

Please comment if you find any specific compatibility issue.

Assuming it is this mod and not a conflict or a different mod causing the crash (which would be my first thought), the only parts that might be causing problems are the changes to skeleton and zombie upkeep. I ripped those out of my local copy long ago and this has been running fine alongside another 300 or so mods.

As a suggestion for when updating, add a +2 recruit rank bonus for Terrorgheists somewhere as they are the only unit lacking such. Perhaps either Blood Hunts (to match with the rest of the beast units), or Night your Haunters tech.

@DreXav I will update it some~when until January. I'm pretty busy right now and I've just bought the 3 last DLCs this month, since they cost a lot of money in my country as american dollar price tripled here.

nice I'm looking forward to it. been wanting to play a vampire counts game, but there's very few mods for them right now

Just bought the new DLCs I was late. Now to find some time to update all my mods. Until I update their title consider all of them broken (soem still functional with bugs).

One of the best mods out there! Makes VC playable by nerfing the brainless free upkeep technologies. Thanks so much! Now I have a reason for investing into high-tier units.
