Swift strikes and spell-slinging are the hallmark of the Duskblade, who seeks to control the outcome of battle through powerful protection magic, unique summons, and ostentatious tricks. Blending together blade and sourcery, Duskblades are adept spellswords who will ravage the battlefield if left unchecked.

Class Mechanics

The Duskblade is a hybrid Warfare/Summoning class, which focuses on position control, damage mitigation, and effective summons to control the outcome of battle. The Duskblade class has three primary mechanics: Arcane Focus, Arcane Imbuement, and Negation.

Arcane Focus
  • Arcane Focus is a trigger that fires on several Duskblade skills.
  • When Arcane Focus is triggered, all skills which benefit (listed in their skill description) will have their CD reduced by one.
  • Arcane Focus allows the Duskblade to roll into combos and mix-match their effectiveness on the field, while always feeling useful.

Arcane Imbuement
  • Duskblades can imbue their weapons, causing 50% of the damage the weapon would deal to instead be dealt as the imbuement type.
  • Arcane Imbuement allows a Duskblade to operate as a hybrid physical/magic damage dealer, while also being able to switch element types on the fly in combat, making them extremely versatile.

Negation
  • Negation is a powerful mechanic that negates the next instance of incoming damage the Duskblade would receive.
  • Duskblades can distribute Negation to team members quickly to mitigate damage across the entire party!
  • Negation blocks damage, but will not block status effects associated with such damage. For example, if you have no physical armor left, you will still be Knocked Down by a skill that would do so, but you wont receive damage.

The NSE tool is a similar tool to the Skyrim SKSE, offering additional tools and scripting APIs for modders to create new, more exciting content! The tool is safe and secure, and is a new staple in the world of Divinity OS modding.

For me, Arcane imbuement is not modifying my damage type to the on i choose. Is there some way to fix it?

Arcane Imbuement is not working with the Manifest Weapon. Is there any way to fix this?

Ascendant strike does rather weak damage for 2 source points. Spectral weapon also does crap damage. Mystic bulwark and excellence is too low chance. 20% would work fine. Banishing strike should be resisted by physical not magical. Arcane imbuement should be a chance to do extra phycical damage or something and not try to mix magic and phyc damage which never works due to how the game works.

@cruzader: is that a big deal...? you can customize all of your starting stats, including the starting abilities. the duskblade abilities show up properly in the character creation... the only "disadvantage" is that your class will have a different title... but AFAIK, that class isn't even on the character sheet.

@Math3ory: did you click the little red "trade" button in the upper left hand corner? i missed it when i first booted up a modded vendor. now, if you get to the trade menu and there's no INVENTORY... that's a very different issue i can't help with : )

@sever: i don't know if that's possible. i know that helenae's Mirage class (which is awesome, btw) was supposed to do that... but she could never quite get it to work right. iirc, she scaled the damage more directtly off of INT, because it never scaled properly off of Summoning : / i assume it's the way the Summoning skill is coded, but i've never looked at it myself.
