Gladius+ Unofficial Terrain Scaling

Description
Hello There!

Please Note: You must have Gladius+ subscribed/installed in order to use this mod. In your mod order in game this mod must come BEFORE Gladius+ and I have included a screenshot above to show you how to do that if you aren't familiar. After changing the mod load order you must restart the game for the changes to take effect.

This is my mod for unofficial terrain scaling applied to the Gladius+ Mod. Absolutely all credit goes to the creators Tof, Qai, and Snowflake of Gladius Plus! None of the Gladius Plus work is mine and this mod is only used to modify Gladius Plus. This mod will not interfere with any Gladius Plus updates but it will allow you to maintain the scaling changes I have made even if Gladius Plus is updated. It is probably not compatible with any other mod that isn't compatible with Gladius Plus. It does not make any gameplay changes.

Now, on to the mod! I love Gladius Plus, they did amazing work on it to make everything beautiful and tabletop proportions, I don't think I could go back to playing regular Gladius without their additional textures and work! However, for me, sometimes the tabletop proportions get in the way of actually playing the game and I decided that there were a few tweaks I would enjoy. The main things that this mod changes are:

Trees - This is the major thing that is changed by this mod, I have adjusted the scaling and number of trees to make units more visible. Tof did a wonderful job on the textures but with the tabletop proportions heavy forests and such can really obstruct your view. I have adjusted everything from tabletop proportions to baby tree sizes which allows you to see units much easier while still being clear about what kind of cover the unit is in. So now, you can see a unit easier in the forest and you can tell that they have forest cover, it doesn't make things flat like the plain game but it does make things into the baby version of Gladius Plus. I think this extra visibly is a great trade off for losing a little bit of proportion accuracy. It allows infantry and other things to be seen a lot easier and it allows you to be more sure of what hex you are clicking or where you can move.

Current Issue - The Volcanic Trees aren't super easy to see because of the color of the texture + color of the trees + the fact that they are much smaller now. I'm going to work on adjusting the scaling and maybe the color for the volcanic trees to make that area easier to see.

Wire Weed - This also adjusts the size of wire weed so you can see it a bit easier without being overwhelming.

This mod can be used in conjunction with or separately from my unit scaling adjustment mod.

Thanks for looking! I'll keep updating things as I make some final adjustments but overall I think this makes things easier from a functionality standpoint while trying to maintain the spirit of the tabletop proportions that Gladius+ created!

Don't recommend anyone using this, it uses old file for trader camp missing some items and it might be issue with G+ but game runs a lot better without these mods. Just changing unit and building sizes should have no impact on performance.

you got a mem leak on both of your mods for gladius+.
both of them are ooming my box (16gb). it happens for me on huge map around turn 70ish. I wager the same applies to a 32gb box just later along the line.

Ya I've played tabletop and the gates don't tower over cities, that's absurd. The gigantor gates not only look incongruous they also clip through other objects.

Our mod team will be publishing a mod called TMT that will fix a lot of these issues. You can find out more about it here: https://discord.gg/e9quZXumYV

@Crizzlybear Gladius+ did that they said in their comments that the gates are supposed to be that way as in the lore they should be even bigger (lore or tabletop)

Please fix the towering webway gates. They are actually creeping me out. They're so large my thunderbolts clip their wings on them when they fly over.
