Description
The Black Pearl is back after a major overhaul!
Heavy upgraded with the goal to be the only CV you ever need.
But it works also great in combination with the "IW Black Opal" or "IW Millennium Star".

Some of the changes from the old:
-Twice the lift thrust
-A total of 4 Advanced constructors and 4 small, 2 food processors
-54 grow plots
-More turrets
-More spotlights, to cover the area around the ship
-Added drill lasers and drill cockpit
-Added cockpit in hangar with easy access from rear ramp
-Added two more 320K storage and some more containers
-Hibernation mode and updated signal logic
-Teleporter and detector
-Some general redesign and color changes
-Hangar door is now 9x7

1x320Ksu harvest controller
1x320Ksu + 1x89Ksu Ammo controller
5x320Ksu cargo controller
11x16Ksu Containers
4x8Ksu containers

Total storage=2537Ksu


I build this ship legit in the factory in survival and have been running it as my main CV for a week with extensive testing in all kinds of scenarios before it went public. My most used CV in game until i was able to make my trio with "Millennium Star", "Topaz" and "Millennium Eagle"

So far i guess it's my ultimate all round CV. The drill cockpit is very nice when emptying autominers and the HV ramp aft is a good option when looting POI's (easy access to med bay and cockpit)

I kept the wifi in center of hangar mostly for the look, but feel free to move it further ahead or mount a new one in the front if you prefer using the front hangar door more than i do :)

What is that base/landing pad in your 19th screenshot (third from the end). Seems lik a nice place to land all your ships. :)

Personally i use Millennium Eagle for that. It can easy take out drones, sunat and periat ships, but nothing bigger. I use it mainly for exploring and support when take out ground poi's on planets. But yeah it has a very small garden and no hangar and little RP-value. I don't wanna make The Black Pearl bigger. I feel Tanzanite covers that role. But converting it into a mid-late game explorer is a awesome idea :) I will see what i can do. If you join my discord, i can post some work in progress during the refit and you can come with some suggestions as i go :)

Awesome!!! This is one thing that I really miss in Reforged Cenarios. An all rounded explorer CV. There are some, of course, but always with a small side in some area, like small farm, no bedroom etc, properly done. It's an explorer CV! Should be a end game CV to the ones that wants right that, don't you think? Of course, as you said, it can't be a strong combat ship, that's ok, because the main focus is to explor the universe. So, it's weak against strong enemies, but it should be fast, good amount of cargo controllers, good farm, a warm bedroom, medical area and some weapons to face some drones and small ships. That is! Ah! You need windows!!! You are travelling the space to see the wonders of all places!!! A scientific observatory, maybe, with an amazing view? Whta do you think? The Black Pearl is a size 6. maybe a size 9 or even bigger. It should be an end game explorer CV, so no compromisses to the mains areas, but weaponry... What do you think? :steamhappy:

I might take a look at this one soon, convert it to hardened steel, move some thrusters, do proper protection against chain reaction and make it more like a multi role explorer CV that can handle light combat. But it will never be as powerful as in vanilla when it gets to combat, it's to small for that. Thanks for giving me the idea for a explorer CV MacShell :)

Not sure if it will work without a insane rework. The destroyer took a lot of effort to convert and it's currently not useable in reforged after the 1.4 update.
