Dead's Overthrow

Description
A WIP Updated version of the mod can be found HERE.

My personally overhauled version of Gerhart's own Overthrow modification. Which appears to have been deleted. A quick recap of what it changed:
  • Modified a ton of basic game stats, QOL features, minor content additions, ect.
  • Built in ASRAI3
  • Built in LAMBS_DANGER.fsm
  • Built in a few minor open source mods.
  • Integrated content from RHS mods, and a few other mods.
  • Vastly increased the amount of units on the map
  • Is (was) a direct fork of the original OT, no relation to OT Community Edition

This version has overhauled a large number of features from the original Overthrow, mainly focusing on improving economics and progression, rewarding the player for not only engaging the overwhelming NATO adversary, but also carefully managing their own resources.

The mod also adds in a massive number of QOL improvements, ranging from a (if I say so) absurd amount of bug-fixes to menu rebuilds and server optimizations.

Please note: due to the nature of the mod (and ARMA) how it handles spawning and despawning, the mod may not run well on a player host, and can run much, much better on the same hardware if the mission is being ran on a dedicated server. To run this mod as a dedicated host, I recommend at least 16 GB RAM

THIS MOD HAS BUILT IN AI OVERHAUL MODS, RUNNING OTHER AI MODS OR CHANGING AI SETTINGS THROUGH CBA WILL BREAK THEM.

Additional mods with custom compatibility:

NIArms All in One - Grants NATO and Criminal forces a much wider selection of faction and role appropriate weapons.

BWMod - NATO will use the various weapons and vehicles included in the mod.

Aegis - NATO will use the reskins from this mod, adding more variety.

Note: If you find you don't like my own take on Overthrow, I highly recommend you check out Overthrow Community Edition! Or create a fork of your own mod as the original Overthrow mod is open source.

one of the best scenarios on the workshop for arma 3, you just gotta appreciate the attention to detail and customization after playing arma for so long

@Morrisons, once again horrible late replay but I'm sure others may be wondering. All I know is he was on disability after a job injury, and could no longer afford to live in his home, which is why he stopped working on the mod (and disappeared entirely). I am unsure as to why he deleted his own mod.

@SoftEnbySam pt.2 It should be noted, even with the AI mods functioning properly (which seek to give them more "human" aim and reactions) the AI can still one tap you at times. This is because the basic Arma AI aim is based off of how "suppressed" they are and how long you have stood relatively still. Ironically, running around like its Call of Duty tends to do much better than camping a building, as you "stillness" will build up and eventually when you look through a window, ect. You will get snap shotted. The only way around this is to use the suppression feature with your AI bots to make sure there spraying the vicinity of the enemy so you can actually pick them off safely. (Stationary machine guns work wonders for this.)

TDLR: make sure nothing is obviously breaking the AI code. Otherwise, this may just be "intentional" behavior by Bohemia.

@SoftEnbySam pt.1, sorry for the horribly late reply, but this tends to be caused by having conflicting AI mods, or CBA mod settings which overwrite the AI settings. Several AI mods are built into the mod so adding more tends to break the AI, and these mods have their code customized, so changing the CBA settings can lead to unpredictable effects.

Holy fuck, all the enemies laser beam you from insane ranges and take 10+ bullets from anything to go down. I'm literally having to use a .50 cal to kill people in a reasonable amount, and even they sometimes take multiple.

Hi Dead, Do you know what has happened to Gerhart? His version is still on GitHub but his website and workshop page are down. Don't know how long its been like that.

Because there is no longer a description of what changes Gerhart made/fixed it might be a good idea to include them in this workshop items description.

Does Anyone know why When I get certain Mods it says generating economy, then just puts me on a island away from the map. I cant Toggle Zeus to teleport me anywhere, is there anyone who can help me.
