I have just realized that "+" is shift = lol (totally forgot it)
Clicking CTRL + is actually ctrl shift =

and there is creative console on =
so when one clicks = or shift = the game opens creative console ;D

messing with this for now, I have added option so you can use keypad + - if your keypad is enabled

What I envision is control or shift and mousewheel, or control or shift and + - to change the range in-game. I don't think the exact keys used are too important, though I think insert/delete and home/end are used by several other popular mods (Autoexcavator MK2 for one).

When the player changes the range, display the new range in the player chat, or the info panel, or even a pop-up message like the freight stations display when loading/unloading (assuming I remember that correctly - I haven't been in-game since last summer). Cheers!

Something like this is possible, but it would affect everything related to select range, not only digging.

It can be single button or combination of few buttons

It can be "hold button for effect" or press button and it switches between ranges

It can pop information in chat about range or pop infront of you just like this mod

It can be like this:
Inactive: Default Range
Active: 8m (or whatever range set in Range.txt)

OR

Start: Range set in Range.txt
1st press of button: 8m range
2nd press of button: 16m range
3rd press of button: 32m range
4th press of button: 64m range
5th press of button: Range set in Range.txt
etc etc


So what you would it like to be? (and what button/combination of buttons?)

Sorry about that. Instead of just doubling the range, can the range be made adjustable by a key? I often wanted the dig range shorter, even just 8 blocks, since I tend to accidentally dig up things in the background.

IMO this would be more awesome if the range were selectable down to just 8 blocks (like, 8, 16,32,64, 128). How many times I've accidentally fuxored something in the background because I was superdigging, or spam-clicking, or simply mis-clicking something up close.
