It allows to teleport further too.
And it didn't teleport me back no matter what I tried
Maybe you have to redownload again o-O?
Also I'm on P25, it shouldn't affect it tho
Also, you can spam it, so teleporting 60 blocks 3 times per second is fast enough to rapidly move on the surface
+ I have checked and performance doesn't lower the range, so it's always up to 64 blocks, it's far enough that you can't see it without pressing "Z" (aka zoom)
I didn't check it but I guess that dev added some sort of code which lowers the number if performance goes down.
I have released update which should block the teleporter module from teleporting you back, if you look too far away then it won't do anything.
I will try to find out exact distance and then put it into description of mod as side-effect.
Teleporting back is super weird.
Teleporter module uses in game code for checking the block you look at.
The dev set some sort of limit on this code and if the block you look at is far away (30+ or 50+ blocks away, don't remember already) then it stops updating and game remembers old block you were looking at previously.
So theoretically (I didn't test it), the module should teleport you back if you start looking at blocks that are too far away (look at sky or look deep into one of the caverns) is that the case there? (I totally didn't think about such side-effect o_O)
However, unsubscribing and resubscribing - presumably because that triggers a redownload - fixed the issue.
However, this leads to a new issue: The module rarely actually teleports me; it instead moves me back to the block I was standing on a few seconds ago.
And if you want the exact category then teleporter module is in the same category as other suit upgrades (solar cell/power packs etc) I think it was called suit upgrades or something like that (in code it's just called "upgrades")
