Description
SeaBoss Systems STINGRAY Mk.III Jet Speedboat

A reworking of the STINGRAY Mk.II which was effected by the downgrading of Jet RPS. The new STINGRAY is capable of speeds up to 200 knots (100 m/s) by means of adding an additional Combustion chamber to each Jet Turbine. In doing so it increases the pressure in the turbine which ups the RPS. The trade-off is that like a typical Jet Hydroplane it is a "fuel pig". Range is approximately 30 km at full speed (120 RPS generated by each turbine - Port and SB).

Cockpit has been simplified and a Multi-Mode Radio has been added as well as a moving map.

START-UP PROCEDURES:
1. From the Pilot's seat turn the keys to bring the two jet turbine engines on line.
2. Either use the 1 Key to increase the throttle of both engines simultaneously or adjust the Port and SB throttles individually to bring the engines up to power. NOTE: You can push it all the way to full power (130 RPS) and the engines won't explode as they are governed by a Throttle controller.
3. Click on the "Engage Water Jets" button or hit number 3 while seated in the Pilot's Chair. I find you will get maximum acceleration if you wait until the engines hit max RPS (about 120).

KEYS:
1 - Increase Jet Turbine RPS (Port and SB Simultaneously)
2 - Increase Jet Turbine RPS (Port and SB Simultaneously)
3 - Toggle ON/OFF Water Jets - OFF by Default
4 - Toggle ON/OFF Water Jet Vectored Steering - OFF by Default
6 - Toggle ON/OFF Autopilot

yes I have and it was really cool, also died to a meg after fuel loss, guess it isn't a very strong boat lol

Thanks, TheNeonShadow. :) Have you tried enabling the Water Jet turning and holding full rudder? The Whirlpool generator is back.

Hi starfire2, thanks for the comment. The ORCA has an update (two versions - Runabout and Versa) that include a lot of the new tech (Versa includes RADAR, updated screens, Radio, etc.). I haven't included anything from the ropes yet as I don't see how it may factor in to what is already there. In regards to a sub.. yup, it's in the plans that I want to revisit the SCARAB. Just need to find the time and the "patience" to do it. :)

Stormworks is trying to have every kind of physics laws but they are still unpolished. also the game is still in beta, so its ok.

Just something of note...
For aesthetics purposes I changed some rows of blocks from 1x1s to the new 2x1s and 2x2s. All of them are above the surface. The boat was doing 195+ knots with the old blocks and after the change to the new blocks only does 180. There's definitely something different with the drag profile of the new blocks that doesn't make sense. I was expecting they would be more aerodynamic due to their slope but that doesn't appear to be the case.
