HeatMap / Temperature Overlay

Description
Seems to be working fine still in .75

Quickly see the temperature of every room,
option to display colored blocks and/or details

It displays in celsius or fahrenheit depending on game settings.

Minor fps hit while viewing the cubes I don't really notice a change with just the text on.

is it updated?

From my limited testing, it seems like BumpInTheNight is correct: This does not seem to work in the latest (0.850) version. At least, I can't see any temperatures, either in an old save or even in a brand new game. I guess the latest version broke it.

even if its not understandable can you just make a mod or add to this one
where we can show the wall quality and the quality of hidded things because it seem all matter in this game and requiert awarness of what must be improved or recrafted for efficiency

I can attest from my personal play experience (version 0.65 ?) that double walls insulate (retain the heat or cold) better than a single wall. Indeed, for my freezer I always use triple or quadruple thick walls, while my fridge only has double walls (or maybe triple). But I also place extra doors for each wall layer, so you'd have to go through 3 or 4 doors to go into my freezer.

It's not overkill if it keeps things cooler and preserves food longer. Anyway, I could have sworn I read a very old account somewhere that advocated the use of double or triple walls for a game version older than v0.6. But I don't recall much aside from how the evaporative cooler in that version looked and functioned very different from what we have now.

Honestly not sure about the calculations,I'm displaying the numbers i pull out of the game data, I'm not doing any big calculations or anything.

I do believe double walls are warmer, i typically built into a hillside or mountain but i always noticed my outside rooms would be colder in winter.

I did poke around some at how its calculated because it seemed pretty odd (the whole reason i made the mod) but honestly don't remember much. I built the mod as a way to try and understand it better, then pretty much stopped playing shortly after i made it. (was waiting on updates to the game, then just never really came back) If i get some time I might dive back into it and try and understand it better.

i will check over time and try to change the door
can you confirm is the door material quality and the door dificulty increase insulation
did i have to change all the door/wall as soon i get a better economy
i reached to make a lvl 100 room in the previous patch is it i mean i had the maximal insulation possible

i also noticed some rooms not highlight all their volume but just the floor and the second layer of the workshop so i guess its probably due because i constructed the walls in diferent moment
have you checked how the temperature work because i had some time negative heating where the internal temp is inferior at the external this with two fireplace and a firecamp inside
i wonder if it cululative or just a waste is the game logic maths or tricks
is the double layer walls usefull as someone advised
is wall crafting quality make a diference

I should say I don't think its my mod. I could always be wrong but i remember it happening to me as well and looking into it, but i also think it was normally during construction and eventually got merged.

@tripodalt
The 6 gui issue: basically the mod reads the "rooms" array and then just displays information about them. So if you see 6 guis then the game has 6 rooms there. I noticed it myself quite a bit. I think they get merged eventually (its been awhile since I've played) and I am pretty sure removing and adding back a door can sometimes force this merge. TLDR its the game not the mod.

2nd issue. I'm honestly not sure. Did it stay wrong over time? were any other rooms wrong?
