Improved Sieges [Deprecated]

Description
Compatible with 1.3 Livy

Mausklickmoerder's mod is being updated again, so check that out. This mod is now integrated into Improved battles, creating Improved Warfare: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1917143832

Heavily inspired by the Sane Sieges mod: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2208293857 (Updated link) by Mausklickmoerder which is no longer compatible, credits to him. Added a few of my own changes as well.

Vision and Summary

In vanilla the assault button is an easy and free way to stackwipe your own army, now it should be a bit more viable. You will still take huge losses assaulting without a breach, but it should no longer stackwipe you, while assaulting with a breach is now an effective strategy.

Additionally, walled territories will be sieged slightly faster, and unwalled slightly slower, giving you (and the AI) some time to rescue those unwalled metropolises.

Features

Days per siege phase with fort: 25 (from 30)
Without fort: 20 (from 15)

Casualties for defenders: 20% (from 10%, assaulting army is 100%)

Assault width limit: 4 (from 3)

Max siege accumulation: 14 (from 11)

Max breaches: 3 (from 1)

Very slight increase to defender losses from supply, food and water shortage

Oh hey there. I made the original Sane Sieges mod, but didn't update it for quite a while; reuploaded it shortly before the patch and updated it today. The link new link is https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2030417412

I'll take a look at your other improvements, maybe there's something I want for myself. :)

This makes a lot of sense historically, especially in the early game. Walled cities were not a thing that existed in general until about the late 200s/early 300s AD. Even the city of Rome itself under the empire didn't have a proper city wall until about 275 thanks to the efforts of emperors Aurelian and Probus.

Besieging some tribal encampment isn't the same as besieging a walled city, and this mod reflects that difference in a more appropriate fashion than vanilla.
