Description
Yep, its another mod adding ability to research and build The Ancient Dreadnought.

What this mod about?
It adds ability to reasearch (one way or another), improve and build Ancient Dreadnought. Also little section extention for Titan, minor vanilla turet & icon fixes, nanorepair adjustment in package.
  • ability to build and customize Ancient Dreadnought
  • +7 tech for Ancient Dreadnought. 4 standard: unlock, build speed, hull integrity. 3 special: section choise extention and buff improvement
  • +3 tech for Titan. 1 to compensate PDX asinine lazyness and improve Titan build speed. 2 to make Titan great again! Joke, it improves ship similarly to Ancient Dreadnought
  • "Void Artillery" stance and appropriate combat computers
  • + tech to fix grave injustice and make "Self Recilient Metalloids" from living metal wich can restore ship's hull and armor like Regenerative Tissue or Nano Repair
  • + adjusted Nano Repair so its output more cost efficinet

Which files are affected?
  • 00_utilities_aux_distant_stars.txt entry "AUTO_REPAIR_2"
  • leviathans_events_2.txt entry "leviathans.3102" and "leviathans.3103"
  • _arthropoid_01_ships_meshes.gfx and all its counterparts in other grafical cultures, bunch of turret enties affected
So if you are using mods which override the same things, NSC or some other ambitious project, for example, you may have a problem.

Lirycs
I was inspired to take up work on this mod by presence of many other mods that allow you to build Ancient Dreadnought, but none of them suit me or my vision of such mod. So you can assume that this mod made by me and for me at first place. But I didnt feel it right to keep it all just to myself and want to share it. And I will try to keep it up to date. Time spend on work ~40h. And 160 more for polishing, tuning, updating and troubleshooting. And at least 40 more to update it, figure out new bugs and misaligments.

Also you can feel free to rip this mod open, learn all things you want and take all artwork if you like it. Attribution of authorship I will leave on your conscience.

Attention!
NOTICE: You can build Dreadnought on titan yards with Apoc DLC, otherwise you need to use dreadnought yards.

This mod doesnt add its own dreadnought.mesh file, because author has paws which means its fully dependent on vanilla files.

Also I want to recommed you some really good mods wich I like and would like to see integrated in game: UI Overhaul Dynamic, Simple Locked Slot, Building Tier Numbers, Nice Text

My thanks to James Fire for his mod. The idea with custom parts wath interesting and good learning expirience.

Paradox Titan slightly different entity...
but I'll look what can be done / if something should be done to those.

You can roll research with very low chance. Or get it from beating the Dreadnought.

AI has even lower chances to roll this research and may ignore it completely.

It has buffs. Just not instantly.

Another Thing to mention, the original Dreadnought has a lot of buffs, even the one owned by the player, for example, there is a 300% shield hit point buff named "Dreadnought"(it is not as powerful as the leviathan version). The modded version does not seem have these buffs.

@Prolbo thanks for the reply, I just have a few more questions:
1. Do I have to first beat the Dreadnought to unlock research?
2. Will AI be able to research and build the Dreadnought?
All I want is to make the Dreadnought usable in combat. Currently, it always heads to the front of the entire fleet, gets targeted by all enemy ships, and then gets destroyed. At the same time I want to keep it as a unique flagship, and the only way to obtain it is to beat the Dreadnought Leviathan and fix it. if everyone can build it, it somehow isn't that special for me. It would be so great if there is a simple version of this mod that only keeps the "Improved Dreadnought part." Making the Dreadnought more challenging to defeat and more powerful in the player's hands after fixing it.

@Guzzle yes, it is possible to modify file "!!_ship_of_size_limits_plr" located in folder "steam/steamapps/workshop/content/281990/1893193650/common/country_limits/ship_of_size_limits".
You need to remove or comment strings "max" and "naval_cap...", it should limit number of Dreadnoughts to 1.
