HU-43i Angler Courier Ship (Deluxe Version)

Description
NEW UPDATE: New looping pressure script and redesigned docking port.

The Angler is a Jump-capable ship, geared toward early survival games. It uses a system of both hydrogen and atmospheric thrusters to traverse a multitude of environments. It's narrow cross section makes it perfect for landing in cramped places.

NOTE: This blueprint makes use of textures from Space Engineers Deluxe and the Economy Deluxe DLC's. The Vanilla Repaint is available at the following link:

Operational notes:
------------------------------
"The Angler's shining attributes are its narrow profile and economic
construction. At only 12.5 meters wide, the Angler is capable of landing
on pads designed for much smaller craft. The ship is ideal for any
prospective traders looking to get off world on a budget.

"The ship has an unfortunate reputation for it's low brake thrust.
The Type-E doubled both the atmospheric and hydrogen brake
thrusters from previous models, but it still doesn't stop on a dime.
Many veteran pilots have observed that in atmosphere, pitching the nose
up helps to augment the forward brake thrust with the lift thrust.

"In orbit the ship can also brake much faster when it flips around and
uses its main thrusters, much like a classic rocket. A tail camera is
provided to assist in such maneuvers.

"To conserve fuel, the ship's hydrogen thrusters can be toggled off while
cruising in atmosphere. It is important to note that without the hydrogen
thrusters, the ship's handling can be dangerously sluggish. Pilots are
advised to fly conservatively when flying without the ship's H2 system."

1. yes
2. yes
3. creative

It was throwing some errors but I recompiled and it started working. Wish I had documented the errors before I fixed it but I didn't think about it. The script is quite impressive and the documentation is relatively easy to understand. Good job!

I've uploaded Virtual Hotbar to the workshop and published a (mostly) complete guide.

If you're just copying the ship into the game, there should be no set-up required.

The main cockpit should have a screen (second in the LCD list, called "Top Left Screen"), with several greenish-blue buttons on it. These are the Virtual Hotbar Buttons. Each one has a number below it for the key-press you need to activate it.

Pressing 8 and 9 will take you to the previous and next VHB pages respectively.

There's also a flight manual in the Pilot Seat inventory which has a more detailed explanation of what each Virtual Hotbar Key does.

I also plan to publish another update to the Angler soon, and I'll make sure to have vanilla alternatives mapped to subsequent in-game hotbar pages.

2. Yes
3. Creative tools

Number one is not very clear though.
Even though i'm not the one being talked to this is an issue pretty much everyone has.

@megabyte264 I pasted a copy of the workshop version of the ship into my game world, and it seems to be working, so I need to ask some questions to help troubleshoot the issue.
1. Are the buttons appearing in the upper left screen of the pilot seat, and main display of the copilot seat?
2. In the in-game hotbar for both seats, are you in hotbar 1, which should have the hotbar program block mapped to most of the buttons?
3. Did you paste the ship in using creative tools or did you build it from a projector in survival?

I'll try to get a link and documentation for Virtual Hotbar up soon.

Not sure if I set it up incorrectly or if the update broke the script but the virtual hotbar doesnt seem to do anything and I can't find any documentation to try to fix it.

@turrhita - Just uploaded my local version where the landing gear works. Thank you for the heads up! :)

Minor issue regarding some functions, landing gear button just blinks and does nothing

@NotTildaSwinton Glad you like it! :Khappy: Out of all the ships I've designed in this game the Angler has become *My Ship*.

hey! I subscribed to this back in 2019 and use it consistently, and I'm really glad to see you're still updating it semi-regularly!
