Description
THESE ARE PROPS NOT USABLE WEAPONS.

This pack contains 16 weapons (+6 bonus ones) and 4 bullet models from HALF-LIFE 2 SMOD, an old, defunct weapon and gameplay mod for Half-Life 2, as well as several Half-Life 2 weapon models remodeled from the first-person meshes.

All are compiled as props, and have been edited to enhance them for ragdoll posing or movies, including bodygroups, skingroups and separate magazines as props. (To use the body/skingroups, use the Easy Bodygroup Tool to select them or hold C, right click the model and use the "bodygroup" and "skin" options.)

All possible weapons have been converted from the View meshes for best detail and have been extensively rigged to a boneset that allows you to control parts of the weapons. From bolts and slides down to fire selects and magazine releases. So the Joint Tool or other bone tools are highly recommended. Bodygroups are still included for basic functions or as a fallback. The bullets have two different bodygrouped trails to emulate SMOD's own Bullet Time effects, along with a bodygroup to switch to their impact models.

This only covers SMOD 40a, the last official SMOD version released. The fan-made mods based on SMOD aren't covered here but there's a few exceptions: The Molotov, PDU and Blaster which were custom fan-made weapons built specifically for SMOD 40a, and the Deagle and OICW as they were included in SMOD as custom weapon examples and are popular enough to be added for the heck of it. The SLAM and Stunstick from HL2: Deathmatch are here to round out the weapon models included from HL2.


NOTES and ISSUES:
- Limited bonemerge support to directly attach the weapons to ragdolls. This requires the Composite Bonemerge Tool with sv_compositeentities_childboneediting set to 1. The Easy Bonemerge Tool is NOT supported as a bone tool is also required to move the weapon and manipulate its parts after merging as it will be misaligned.

- The bullets have a spinning animation you can use through the Easy Animation Tool and/or Animated Prop tool and also have a fancy distortion trail bodygroup. Said trail might not show correctly if you don't have Gmod running in DirectX 9 mode.

- Also, the bullets might need the Easy Bodygroup Tool in order to select their trails, as their small size makes them very hard to use with the "C" menu. They also have an alternate skin group to change the look of the bullet trails.

- Many models support the Advanced Particle Controller so you can directly attach effects to the weapons.

- The Kar98 uses a different model than the actual one in SMOD due to the original having too many missing faces for me to use.

- The MP5 as an SD barrel/foregrip and the Kar98 has a scope as bodygroups. They were not available in SMOD, but I didn't want them to go to waste.

- The Shotgun's back end is from the Left 4 Dead 2 SPAS-12 model as the original was unfit to use. As a bonus, the folding stock is a bodygroup.
