Aegis Delta Operations Center

Description
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Vanilla BP - Requires Decorations and Economy DLCs*

PCU: 90376
Block Count: 18696
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to the Aegis Delta Operations Center, the main supply and processing unit of the Aegis Delta Forward Operations Base (F.O.B) series. Built to intake materials and process them into usable components and to also house a small strike force.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-- Structure Function --

The main corridor is built for a cargo vehicle, like the Nomad Carryall/Cargo Hauler, to offload mined ores into the dedicated ore cargo containers where they will automatically be processed into ingots then be automatically transfered to dedicated cargo containers. Likewise, there is a dedicated landing pad for aerial miners that will automatically drain any ores, ingots, or components into their perspective containers. This is also for the landing pad outside of the Power House, where only ice will be automatically drained and stored into it's sperate containers to be processed into hydrogen for the engines. The four Assemblers can grab the necessary ingots needed for components, from there, the components, ammo, and tools/weapons will be automatically transfered into there corresponding cargo containers. Each cargo container has there function and/or inventory displayed above them for easy acknowledgement of materials. Likewise, each of the three main cargo pairs have a small catwalk for direct access to their contents.

The Workshop has a basic 3D Printer, built to assist in small projects if needed, though not necessary. To use the projector and printer, simply select the projector through the floor mounted control panel in front of the projector and manually adjust the projection. Once in the correct configuration, go to the control/button panel in front of Refinery 04 and lower the welders, then switch the welders on and lift the welders, this process is very slow to ensure blocks are fully welded. This area is also sealed off from the the main corridor so that ore deposit functions can still be processed while working on a project in a oxygen rich environment.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-- Structure Layout --

The layout of the Operations Center is quite simple, with its main processing corridor that has openings on either end for easy entrance and exit for vehicles, especially with trailers. Attached to the main corridor is the Workshop corridor that has direct access to all components and assemblers as well as the controls and usage of the 3D Printer. Next to the Workshop area, there is a airtight enclosed personnel area which has the main Command Deck, medical deck, and crew quarters. Inside the personnel area, you will find a few projection consoles showcasing vehicles that correspond with the Operations Center and all live data for the structure. Adjacent of the personnel area and next to the workshop is the Power House, where you will find the main power source for the structure. On the other side of the corridor, there are two maintenance hangar bays as well as the refueling and resupply landing pad as well as the aerial miner landing pad. Both miner landing pads, the one for the Power House and the main Miner Landing Pad have horizontal connections, this if for additional vessel with either rear/side connectors or a location to connect to a dedicated mining structure. On top of the Operation Center, you will find the small solar panel array with hydroponics oxygen generators, a radar dish, some of the base defenses, and the main landing pad above the personnel area. On the outside of each airtight hanger door is a pair of moving spotlights, this adds immersion and functionality of this base.

Also, there is two access points for the sublevel. One point is in the main corridor next to the hangar bays and the other is in the workshop in front of the refineries. These two points are simply connected buy a underground corridor that can be expanded the upon is you choose to. This also allows for cargo expansion underneath the existing cargo containers. Also, if placed near a small cliffside or hill top, it is possible to build a underground hanger bay with access to the Operations Center.

-- Structure Details --

As the main processing structure of the F.O.B., it houses everything needed to survive and to house a full crew of six or more if needed. It is a fully functional, survival mode ready, role-play type building for any Planet like setting. Completely airtight with airlocks around the entire structure.

-- Aegis Delta Operations Center backstory --

This structure started as a simple garage for the Nomad series of vehicles, it slowly started to expand with the needs of survival. After several versions and rebuilds, the structure you see is its final version. The camo color, and the corresponding colors of white and black are my faction colors, it is a military inspired structure, hence why the use of the camouflage.

This structure has gone through a few names, first was simply called the Garage, eventually it dubbed the name Argos Delta. Through not wanted to be conflicted with another popular base layout, I changed the name to Aegis Delta. Aegis fit well, due to to background of my ingame faction and the meaning of Aegis, in Greek it means "shield", which is fitting for a defensive military base layout. As for Delta, it simply saying that this is the fourth main reversion of this structure.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-- Please Note --

Most of my newer builds, ones with the same camo pattern and with a set of white stripes, are built to coexist with this structure. With the exception of the L.R.S.C Lynx, which will be useful in the next Aegis Delta structure

-- Thank you --

If you enjoyed this build, please leave a comment and like. I put a lot of effort in my builds and usually take a few days to months to complete a project. This structure in particular is a couple years in the making to this final version. This is only the beginning of a entire Aegis Delta series of structures. Keep a look out for the rest of the AD series that correspond and support this Operations Center. Thank you.

Haha thank you for the comment, this base is long overdue for a much needed update. Since its release, I have gotten much better at building things. I'd recommend checking out the rest of my workshop for more awesome creations.

Just installed and I'm already loving the layout of this base, even if all the rotors and subgrids take me from 80FPS down to 30.

Not at this time, though I am currently working on a fair more grander build at this moment. If you look at my recent screenshots you'll see what I'm talking about. After my current build, I already plan on finishing two other larger builds that were nearly completed earlier this year. So as far as a updated ADOC, no very likely anytime soon.

Have you updated it by chance?

...I know what you mean about time, that's why I love BP.

Thank you Mr.prOfessOr... with all the new updates and goodies Keen has introduced to the game, this facility is in desperate need of a major overhaul.

Kinda funny actually, this structure began as a simple garage in a old survival playthrough, ended up making it a drive-thru garage then just kept getting expanded over and over. Over the passed year I've learned a lot and have gotten better at building things. I'm currently working on a massive planetary relay station as well has a very large land crawler. I don't have the luxury of time to work on projects like I used to, but I that just gives me more time to think what I really want to do in a build. Please check out the rest of my workshop if you like this build.

I finally got this thing built, in survival!!.... but without the sub grids. What i really love to see is an Architects (@Dmize74) detailed walk through vid ;-)
But well done Dmize74, I can't wait to see what ells you have coming up!

One of the current SE updates messed with all the LCDs, so all my BOs with custom text (i.e. all the vehicle advisements I built) are incorrect and need to be addressed. I'm currently working on a large project, once that it completed, I plan to come back to this build and update it. Sorry for any inconveniences...

Really very nice, just missing a few vehicles. For example, on the monitors everywhere and on the last picture on the Steam page. Should that be so or will they be added later?

This is really well made, big and cool. This is my favorite build i have found yet, Great Job! :D
