ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ

This is my first Mod! I've been playing Divinity a fair amount and started testing and using most mods in the workshop. There were a lot of mods I really enjoyed and some of them incorporated their own unique weapons. I really enjoyed hunting down these unique weapons but noticed there was a lack of build options available that utilized most of these Uniques. So I decided to try to make my own mod that opens up these build options in interesting ways while trying to keep them in line with other Uniques throughout the game (Might need your help with that).

This mod currently adds a plethora of uniques to Acts 1, 2, and 3 that aim to compliment various build paths and options throughout your adventure. While this may sound like a lot, I have gone to decent lengths to hide many of them, so you will have to brush off your easter egg hunting skills to find them all. These Uniques will also level with your party once you have reached their base level, allowing you to make use of them for quite a while throughout the game (You can turn this off with the book in your inventory if desired).

While I won't tell you where they are or what stats are on each of them, I will provide the name and class of each weapon below as a form of checklist (and so you know that said Unique is a part of this mod and not another).

This mod is compatible with existing save files.

This mod should be compatible with GM mode. The Uniques should be classified under Weapons > BonusUniques or Equipment > BonusUniques.

As of 9/16/2020, this mod has a full dependency on Norbyte's script extender, found HERE[github.com], If you do not have the extender, many of the new items in the accessory expansion will not work as expected!

I have made an attempt at a Divine War patch located Here. Try it out and let me know how it is.

With the Act III expansion, I have decided to move the list of Uniques to a Google Spreadsheet since it was starting to get rather lengthy.

CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE LIST OF UNIQUES[docs.google.com]

Some of these Uniques are hidden in plain sight, others will require some extra effort to locate.

Some mods that I'd personally recommend to compliment this mod are:

My other mod, Gravewalker Class [DE]
Has some similarly coded Lord of the Rings Uniques.

Level Up All Equipment - Including Uniques [Definitive Edition]
To level up the rest of your equipment and vanilla Uniques as you desire.

Feenex's Battle Pack: Definitive Edition
For some interesting classes and a handful of Uniques that also level with your party.

Dimensional Reaper Class [DE]
My new Summoner Based Class mod is finally here!

OdinCore - Mod Services
Odinblade's many class overhauls. Many of the items here were designed with odin builds in mind.

Food and Potions Fix for GM mode
Load this mod after to fix the Five Star Dinner Talent!

Hope you enjoy the mod and happy hunting!

@爱笑的大魔王 its a resurrection skill... they have to be dead? I'll check it next time but last I used it it worked.

@Commissar Adrian noted, I'll drop the damage on the next update a bit to try to compensate. Thanks for the feedback!

Now don't get me wrong, the sword is hilariously fun to use. But in my eyes it easily overshadows all the other 2Hs in Act 1 + 2, both yours and vanilla. As for Act 3 + 4, I don't believe there's any vanilla 2H that I remember that can even come close. Can't say for your weapons because I haven't gotten them yet.

As another comparison, my lvl 16 char fully buffed with 61 str, 15 Warfare, 9 Two-Handed, 2 Mystic Giant Masterworks has a dmg range of 1835-2010 in Act 2.
Then that same char with Thrillseeker, with 16 Warfare and 10 Two-Handed due to the sword's innate states, has a dmg range of 787-864. That's pretty wild.

This turned into a pretty long post, but I hope even some of it helped.

@Malchezzar Got it. I thought I was seeing things when I saw those numbers. I only just re-specced into a 2H build for one of my characters so I probably just forgot about Balmung when I first picked it up. I decided to reload a prior save so I could use the sword for Bloodmoon Island and the White Magisters and compare it with some of the other 2H in Act 2.

Personally, I do find it too powerful, even with the 3 ap tradeoff. Pre-buff Haste and even your Noble Savage hat goes a long way. It's easily doing at least double the damage of it's peers and Razorwind is amazing. It does at least 25% more damage than Whirlwind for the same 3ap cost. Also some skills like Battering Ram, Battle Stomp, and Blitz Attack still only require 2ap.

As for mods, I don't have any combat overhauls or the like, mostly QoL features so my experience has been pretty close to vanilla combat-wise.

@Commissar Adrian I am also ok with nerfing it depending on feedback, it was an experiment of sorts.
Malchezzar  [Δημιουργός] 29 Ιουλ, 7:54
@Comissar Adrian That sword is deliberately designed to have double the base stats, but costs one more AP for actions so you get less attacks with it. It's a trade off, but yes the numbers are intentionally high.
Commissar Adrian 29 Ιουλ, 7:50
To add, I've so far found every unique in Act 1 and Act 2; none of the others have numbers as weird as Balmung for their level.
Commissar Adrian 29 Ιουλ, 7:48
This might sound odd, but I think Balmung from Act 2 must have something wrong with it. Its stats at lvl 16 are 36-39 Rot and 176 -193 Physical. Compare that to the Thrillseeker, also lvl 16, which has just 79-86 Physical. Is anyone else seeing this?

@Fence Fucker hmm, you have script extender installed right? Try manually deleting the mod, clearing download cache and resubbing to grab it again. I'll double check that I didn't break it somehow on my end.

Even when i only use this mod the characters appear and ive used it before without this problem so i dont know what happened
