Description
Exposes river generation settings.
These values are very counter-intuitive in the way in which the game uses them ( For whatever reason, in the game higher values result in fewer rivers ).
To compensate for this I have adjusted the script to be more human friendly ( higher values result in many rivers ).

River Source Range and Sea Water Range have the highest impact on river generation depending on map type. For an archipelago type map with many islands, these values should be high or maxed. If they are set too low, the result will be few or no rivers. On large land mass based maps like Pangaea or Continents, these values can be lowered somewhat. Be aware that lowering them too much will result in few or no rivers.

Plots Per River Edge will always affect river generation regardless of map type. Higher values will result in greater river density while lower values will result in sparser river density.

Non Coastal River Chance adjusts the chance of a river starting on a non coastal tile by 10% for each tick ( 10% @ 1, 20% @ 2, ..., 100% @ 10 ).

Maxing all values can result in a map positively inundated with rivers, as per the example screen shot.

As of 04/10/2021 @ 9:25 CST, this mod works with:

It does NOT work with:
4-Leaf Clover
6-Armed Snowflake
Archipelago
Continents and Islands
Earth
East Asia
Europe
Highlands
Primordial
Splintered Fractal
Tilted Axis
True Start Location Earth
True Start Location East Asia
True Start Location Europe
Wetlands

Why does it not work with these maps? /shrug. Some of these maps have a .lua script file, and do NOT have a .civ6map file. Those that met these criteria I added to the config.xml file, but for whatever reason they are not appearing when these maps are selected. If someone who knows more than I do, please feel free to comment and I will try and address based on what you have to say.

@HighRider101 — I'm sorry, but I haven't actually played Civ in like... years. And I haven't touched this mod in probably longer.

Can you add support so it works properly with Real Rivers mod/maps? Thanks! Amazing mod love it!

Looks like a great mod! But I use some of those maps it does not work with a lot. If I leave the mod enabled and try to use one of those maps, will there be problems? Or do I have to disable it when I want to use such a map?

I don't know. It runs a script, so if got lakes runs the same script one might override the other.

@Geoclasm I figured it out, it's their Detailed maps and Map+ that don't the standard maps actually still allow both.
