Persian Marksmanship bug fixed!!.pack

Description
I mostly play as sassanids in legendary campaign and I was asking myself why persian marksmanship doesn't work when you upgrade it after getting skillpoint for your persian armies.
It doesn't work as it should that is why the 10% and 20% bonus are actuelly 0.1m and 0.2m more ranges. I don't know why but I changed it :

LEVEL1: From 0,1 meter to 15 meter

LEVEL2: From 0,2 meter to 30 meter


You may ask yourself why 15 and not 10 because 10% of 150meter is 15m and so on. It is of course a normal persian archer's range but there are others like Armenian Slingers who have 175m range as default but with after these bonuses 190 or 205m. Sadly I can't manualy add ranges to every unit so they cannot get 10% or 20% more range but rather 15m or 30m more range.


It doesn't change range of any arty.

It works with saved files and should work with other mods which don't change skillpoints.

Last time I played something was 2 weeks ago or something. Sorry guys. Uni and work don't even let me chill in Total war :(.

TheOneWhoKnocks and LittleShepherd were using/changing this "mod". Maybe I can get some free time next week and I will try to change it.

As far I know my skill points mods and this mod were compatible but I will try my best to fix this problem.

Unfortunately, the Persian Archery bug fixes Not compatible with more skill point mods. can you solve this?

Hi, I don't really have time right now because of uni so you can change this mode if you want to.

I can verify that the effect in my mod is 15 and 30. In the game it is shown as 1500% and 3000% because it is a bug but for some slingers who got 175 as range, 10% is 17.5m and not 15m. So I couldn't fix this bug entirely.

Casting a wide net from the data pack, missile range modifiers are as follows:


att_effect_force_army_battle_cavalry_missile_range
att_effect_force_army_battle_cavalry_light_missile_range
att_effect_force_army_battle_infantry_missile_range
att_effect_force_unit_stat_missile_range
att_effect_force_army_battle_bow_unit_missile_range

I have limited visibility with my tools.
I only see them implemented in the att_trad section you found.
I propose someone make a mod that addresses these three effects:

att_trad_army_eastern_1_persian_marksmanship in charskilllevels
att_trad_army_nomadic_5_scourge_world in charskilllevels
att_trait_ybor_eye_1 in character_trait_levels
att_wonder_mount_damavand in effect bundles to effects junc

I can make this if you don't have time.
But can you verify that the effect is really only 15 or 30 meters extra?

your mod is now included in the latest release of the Community Patch! I'm sorry for taking so long to implement your fixes.

I also managed to find a few more instances of the same bug in the databases. They should all be fixed now. Thanks again for your help! :)

It seems there is nothing more you can do than manually change distance like you did, changing description needs some "do and check" to find how to apply it to correspond to the new parameters.
You have to add text file including "effects_description_att_effect_force_unit_stat_missile_range" with parameter "Range: %+n" i believe (i use localized file so do not know how it is represented in english - "Range" or "Shoot range" or "Increased range").
