Broken Spears - Sunset of the Aztec Empire | Coop Defense

Description
Command the forces of the Aztecs and their allies in their final conflict. Defend Tenochtitlan against Spanish and Tlaxcalan armies to change the course of history!

This scenario can be played with 1-4 players. Player 2-4 should be filled with the appropriate AI scripts, the other roles can be filled either with human players or the AI I generated for that position. At this point I would like to thank FE_1302 for his wonderful AI scripting tool! :D

Player 1: Aztecs (BS_NorthernDistrict, Player or AI)
Player 2: Portuguese (BS_CortezNavy, AI)
Player 3: Spanish (BS_CortezArmy, AI)
Player 4: Aztecs (BS_Tlaxcala, AI)
Player 5: Mayans (BS_AztecFleet, Player or AI)
Player 6: Incas (BS_SouthernDistrict, Player or AI)
Player 7: Aztecs (BS_TempleDistrict, Player or AI)

The goals are simple. Survive the onslaught, defend your wonder and drive the invaders off Aztec lands!

(And yes, if this scenario seems vaguely familiar to you, I took the final Montezuma mission from the Conquerors campaign as a basis for this map.)

@edwardsoto443 As long as the host has the DLC, it should be enough, if I remember correctly.

My friends don't have the DLC, can they still play this?

@SadowSon Also, use the captured area to build new markets and have a longer traderoute. That makes the limited amount of population you can invest into trade carts a lot more efficient. ;)

@SadowSon The unit selection of the AI was meant to form a contrast to the one of the players (meso civs). AI getting stuck in the north may have something to do with the packed and unpacked trebuchets having different unit IDs, dont quote me on that, though.

In the lategame the Temple District should have enough gold to provide to the team due to their 8 relics. This only works with human players, since I could not get a sensible AI tribute mechanic into place. :P

A really great map, but it could use some tweaks due to faults in the AI...
This is at least from my experience:
The Cortez Army spends alot of resources on cannon galleons. Why?
The Cortez Navy spends alot of resources on spamming cavalry - both light cavs and cavaliers.
The aztec AI tends to get bunched up on the shallows to the north and get stuck. Maybe increase the width of the shallows?
Gold runs out way too quickly on this map for all players. It's a glorious slaughterfest for the first 30mins to an hour and then... everything slows down. Maybe drastically increase vein sizes?
Otherwise, this map is absolutely fantastic. Especially with the IA and IU data sets!

Custom units and other data sets like "Team tech" or "Increased resources"

@The Jinkster™: I guess you are talking about custom unit packs for the Meso civs? :)

The map is great on its own but if you combine it with some Data sets, its even more fun to play.
Thank you for this!

@Dark Horse: Then it seems I was successful in creating that map :D
