Operation TREBUCHET First Contact

Description


Operation: TREBUCHET First Contact is an expansion for the Operation: TREBUCHET modification for ArmA 3. It will be developed separate from OPTRE and will not affect the development speed or process of OPTRE. Unfortunately, it will not be developed as quickly or frequently as OPTRE, as it is mainly a side project and fan service. However, we will do what we can to fix glaring bugs and issues and add new content as it it is ready.

@Gwyndolin Not exactly sure what you mean by this? Specifically

@Salem You are able to drive the scarab yes, You just have to be a player sittin in the seat, Which I don't think you can assess outside of a zeus teleport.

@Legendkiller456 There is always a consideration to add all HALO assets, However at this time there isn't one. Like stated obviously the 1st MEU Aux mod has one, But yea if you don't want to use ace then obviously you can't.

Not by default. There's another mod that adds them, but you need ACE and I don't want to use it just for Phantoms.

I'm not getting an option to run First Contact in the launcher, like the campaign text says I should. Hopefully this is just user error. I've been having an issue with the 1st MEU mod too, I commented on their page. Hopefully I can get these things figured out. I appreciate the work you guys do!! I know it must be tough. I really want to play this, but I'm honestly about to give up after spending an hour trying to figure things out and being unable to really find any info. I figured I would comment and see if you'd reply, as a last ditch effort.

For the MEU mod, I'm getting a thing saying Muzzle compatible items are missing and the game won't load. uninstall that, game launched, got more error popups, saying it couldnt load the UNSC Pistol or something, idk. I know that stuff is likely not your domain, since it's related to other mods. I'm just trying to give what info I have.if I go to the Campaigns section and click on First Contact, it wont even let me ATTEMPT to load it.

@Jimmy Gibbs Yes! Just like Halo 3, You can *in whatever means* Jump on the scarab, Go to the core and shoot at it until it is destroyed and goes into meltdown.

As well like the games if you simply destroy one leg, The scarab will lower down so you can jump on.

Can you kill the scarab without destroying all 4 legs? Like go in the inside and destroy a core?

I cant get the scarab vehicles to move, but the front left leg twitches which makes me think that it's trying. i cant manually drive it when i try to it just spawns me as infantry walking around inside. am i missing something?
