The "No-Chill" Bundle (Purchasable Ice Resist Augments & Green Stim Packs)

Description
This mod is intended to assist players who are struggling with the obstacle course sidequest that must be completed in order to unlock the Dash tech and all subsequent techs.

What this mod does is allow users to buy Ice Resist Augments and Green Stim Packs from the Penguin Bay at the Outpost. The Green Stim Packs allow you to get past the button-operated doors in the course without having to dash. The Ice Resist Augment makes it easier to get past the cryogenic blasters at the end of the course.

You can also use the items for your own nefarious purposes; no one is going to stop you.

This mod is safe to remove at any time.

at medium to high fps, dashing is quite easy. At low fps, dashing is stupidly hard/impossible since the fps changes how fast you have to double tap. When you are at a good fps (30+) you can double tap as fast as you can and it will work. At sub 30, you have to time the double taps out so they actually count instead of just not letting you dash, which is usually a slower timing than usual.

Anyway, I usually have a stable enough fps to do the mission, but I know how frustrating doing that mission with low fps can be, thanks for the mod

It becomes nearly impossible to dash when your framerate drops below a certain point. I've experienced it a couple of times myself.

Yeah, he probably was lagging too much at the course for whatever reason. Has happened to me a lot of times (not at the course though), and Starbound lag is unbearable. It makes everything run slower, it doesn't register your inputs sometimes (and when it does, it comes with input lag), and worst of all, your mouse teleports around really slowly, making it extremely hard to move around the inventory and stuff. I see why he would have a problem with the course.

I imagine this is more for folks whose games lag just enough so that the double-tap doesn't activate the dash. That happened to me at one point - just couldn't get the tech to activate when I needed it to. Let's not forget folks with hand issues that just can't double tap well enough, or struggle with timing as a whole. Let's try not insulting people's skill, that isn't very big money of you.

You have to be lvl 100 casual to find dash obstacle course hard.

Nice, making them pay to easily complete the obstacle course quest is fair.
After all, people should have learned how to do the quest on their own, it was easy for me.

you dont have to dash past the doors anyway. its a trick where trying to dash mostly results in you getting stuck but walking doesnt
