Description
Patch 20 (Ancestral update+ Hotfix) Rise of the Republic compatible

>Roads are now built when upgrading your regions, enabling increased movements ranges bonuses for armies on land, and those specifically leaving through city/ports. The movement bonus increases with every tier upgrade of the main city/village building.
• Level 2 = 10%
• Level 3 = 20%
• Level 4 = 30%
• Level 5-6 = 40%
(Based on Roads Increase Movement Range by Turquoise_Falcon)

>Campaign Naval Tweaks (sick of navies having no real place in Rome 2)
• Double movement range for Navies on campaign map (not including transports)
• Navy upkeep reduced when docked at port or during raiding.
• Increased replenishment rate for navies if docked at port.
• Reduced piracy during patrol or when docked at port.

>Corruption can now be reduced by building Research/Academic specific buildings within cities. (Updated for Rise of the Republic) Corruption has an cumulative effect.
Level 2 -1% of current corruption
Level 3 -2% of current corruption
Level 4 -3% of current corruption
Level 5 -5% of current corruption
(Based on Balanced Research Buildings Reduce Corruption by Estarc)

>Decreasing taxes now gives a growth bonus to all regions.
(Based on Growth For Low Taxes Version 1 by Septus)

>Deployable defences for Generals garrisoned within cities/towns. Makes sense to prepare for a siege.
(Based on defences_mod.pack by Romewasn'tbuiltinapatch)

>Rebalanced effects of expansionism on diplomacy when imperium level increases. The diplomacy penalties that increased due to expansionism with each imperium level have been slightly adjusted. This makes it somewhat possible to still be able to maintain your closest allies/satrapies in mid-late game rather than being forced to outright destroy everyone.

>Campaign party loyalties is impacted by in game difficulty settings and Imperium levels. I have rebalanced values based on pre-Patch 20. This is to ensure closest vanilla values without dramatically changing game mechanics. It is now possible to manage political parties without secessions every few turns. This was a serious issue on difficulties above Hard and especially Rise of the Republic Campaign.
• Party Loyalties based on –> Difficulty setting (All Campaigns)
10, -- easy
0, -- normal
-10, -- hard
-15, -- very hard (Was -20 by default)
-20, -- legendary (Was -30 as of Patch 20, Was -25 Patch 20 hotfix)

• Party Loyalties based on --> Imperium Level (Rise of the Republic ONLY)
Level 1 = Was 20 > now 20
Level 2 = 10 > 10
Level 3 = 0 > 5
Level 4 = -5 > 0
Level 5 = -10 > -5
Level 6 = -15 > -10

NOTE: Most of these changes come from mods and their stated authors. Credit goes to them. This mod was created as a result of some mods not being updated and so i updated and modified all of them myself. They are intended for a better Vanilla Rome 2 experience.

NOTE: this mod makes changes to lua scripts.

If you want ONLY the political loyalty changes since patch 20:

There are level 5, but only specific to certain factions. Sorry i will not be changing it due to balancing reasons.

There are no level 5 cities or villages in the game, so can you change Level 4 = 30% to Level 4 = 40%?

Also the way total war games Data base works is that when a vanilla value is edited or a mod which contains features the same as vanilla it does not break the game. The mod simply overides vanilla values. Just be careful to not use another mod that makes changes to Lua scripts in the database and or conflicst with chnages in my compilation. You have nothing to worry about from this mod and it has no conflicts with vanilla. Again it only enhances it. When you dump a few hundred hours into the vanilla game you will see what a difference this mod is making. Good luck

@Aslan Ponto- this is all very strange. I will do some testing on my end. Can you please try unsubscribing from the mod and then test.

For example reduced piracy during patrol and repenlishment rates does exist in vanilla much like few of the other things in this mod. It does not mean this mod as introduced them. It has merely enhanced them or edited the values of the bonus for a more balanced experience. That is why i mentioned that navies needed some love in the discription.

Decreased taxes for growth bonus exists also but again its an edited value by me. Other features such a reduced corruption and it links to buildings is new and not exactly part of the game. As i said earlier this mod was updated after the last patch was done. So nothing is breaking the Vanilla game. It is ''enhancing it".

@AkaalElite, I don't know, I bought the game on October but I can confirm you that the loyalty penalty is now in vanilla alongside:

Increased replenishment rate for navies if docked at port.

• Reduced piracy during patrol

>Decreasing taxes now gives a growth bonus to all regions.

Perhaps there're more but I'm not sure. I'm very interested in some features of the mod such as buildings against corruption, but I'm afraid the game might crash since the mod contains features which vanilla already has.

Also- As a lot of the mods in this compliation mod were made at different times and by different authors. I have simply continued to update them and modify them accordingly.

@Aslan Ponto- Interesting, as of what patch were most of these changes implemented? As i record. This mod was made made and complied after the last update Patch 20 Including hotfix. Rome 2 has not been updated since.

Dude, I think this mod was so good that CA actually implemented most of these things since I´d swear most of these features were already in my vanilla game. For instance, I played on VH and loyalty had a -25 penalty due to the difficulty level.

Everything looks great, I'll give it a try, thanks for sharing!

@mrtony, the mod is fully functional with the latest version of the game. It may show that its outdated in the Total War Launcher but believe me everything is still working as it should.
