Description
Not Ironman Compatible

(It is my policy that anyone can use the work I've done here, and modify or add it to their own mod, and publish it, though please note the original source.)

Mod Compatibility: Everything

Inspired by component of "Sea Change" by user12343, which now seems to be abandoned.

This mod uses a hidden event (which fires on average once per year) to give all nations (both player and AI) an extra Merchant for every 500 development they have (coded all the way up to 20000 development). So, if you have 1000 development (enough to manually become an Empire) you will have +2 extra merchants. For reference Ming often starts with enough development to grant it +3 extra merchants.

It doesn't seem to work with the new update, is there any way to fire the event by console?

@Wolves in the Throne Room
Since the mod uses new events, nothing gets overwritten.

Move this mod to the bottom of the launcher and it should work, load order is important, what loads last overwrites what comes before if they both change the same thing

Mod conflict or some problem with your game files.

Yes I've had a look and no, there's no additional merchant. What else could it be in your opinion?

A hidden event, thus invisible. Keep in mind that you will never know when the event fires as hidden events are not made visible to the player. Again, did you mouse over the merchant icon (at the top of the game screen) to see the list of what each of your current merchants is granted by?

It could be a problem of mods, I'm running a few of them and the one that I think could make the most problems is "Rule the Waves". If I've understood it correctly yours is just an event, and I don't think this other mod changes anything particular with the merchant system, you can look it up if you want. Other than that I'm using the latest patch
