That should do the trick for any recipe.patch files you want to make!
This site [chbrown.github.io] is a life-saver for making JSON patch files, I use it all the time
It's fine. Thanks for the input though. I am always trying to improve as far as modding goes, so input is always appreciated.

I tested out mods that add recipes to the game, and they work fine: Their recipes are added like normal, and no crashes have been encountered. The warning above is just for mods that alter the game's default recipes, like "Collector's Dream" by Ertas10. If a mod adds its own recipes, they are added to the game just fine. However, if you have advice for how to create a successful .patch file for the recipes, I would be more than happy to learn.
I have tried .patch files, and unfortunately, I could not get them to add the "plain" tag to the recipes' "groups" list. After a week of attempting to use patch files, I instead created a single .patch that tells the game to use my mod's "recipe" folder instead of the default recipe folder.
This mod can be uninstalled without error. I use only my Steam version so that, if something is wrong, I can find out more easily. I installed and uninstalled this mod to ensure that it was safe to uninstall, and it does not erase characters/cause crashed once uninstalled.
