It does come with the risk of being harder to defend if your fleet retreats from their 'wooden wall' duty, so it works nicely. :P
Steam took its sweet time to update the mods, ET included, so I couldnt check the files to see if it had changed anything.
If I end up doing it, odds are I will do both ET and vanilla.
But dunno if adding the England one in too.
(There IS a way to just 'add' a strait in, rather than overwrite the entire file, wish I knew how...)
I will consider it once the next patch drops, which will change the map around and I will have to update them all, and I am not planning to manage many small mods. (Someone will ask for the Bering Strait in vanilla, then a version without the england strait... etc...)
Okay, so I tested the -1 trick to tell the game to 'figure it out yourself¡ about the strait, and it still works with ET/no Challenger...
I downloaded Challenger to try it and its not there.
I decided to check for the IDs of both provinces and the strait.
They are all the same as in base ET.
There is clearly something else blocking the mod, and hell if I know what. Because it should work just fine.
Will keep trying to see if I can see what is happening, but I cant make promises, I am not an actually modder, this is simply adding two numbers to a file...
