A Better Campaign is an optional plugin for the "A Better ADVENT: War of the Chosen" mod.
The plugin adds changes to the mission and pod composition that go further than what is done by the main mod.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This plugin may not be compatible with other mods that deal with such things. If you want to increase enemy pod sizes, use the "PLUS" version of this mod from my Workshop instead.

Right now, all this mod does is put additional ABA variant units into special pods that are encountered on Golden Path missions.
I plan on extending this mod considerably later, including interactions with Dark Events and Sitreps.

NOTICE: ABC will not work without the main mod and it will not work with any old versions of ABA either.

List of changes:

Gatecrasher:
Added a couple of modded enemies to Operation Gatecrasher:
The Trooper pod will now have a Gunslinger and a Medical Drone.
The pod with the Captain will now have a Heavy Trooper.

Blacksite:
The MEC+Trooper pod inside the Blacksite will now spawn with an Anti-Riot MEC. Also, the followers of the MEC will now scale with forcelevel, which they don't in vanilla.

Forge:
The type of Sectopod encountered on the Forge mission will now scale with forcelevel. If you get there really early, you will encounter a weak Prototype Sectopod. In the midgame, a regular Sectopod is stationed there. If you reach it very late, you will run into Sectopod Prime. This is true for all difficulties.

Psigate:
You will run into the Chryssalid Queen here.
All solitary Chryssalids have been upgraded to Hunterkillers.

Broadcast Tower:
Predefined pods use ABA variants, mostly Archons and Mutons.

Leviathan:
Scattered ABA variant units, including Primes, all over the various pods that are used for this mission.

Could have a lot of reasons, you'd need to check the logs to get some sort of direction towards fixing the problem.

Every time I try to load into the first blacksite mission, it crashes during the loading screen...

EDIT: nvm, i didn't realize that a better missions tweaked available gatecrasher pod configs, disregard my previous comment

something odd i noticed about gatecrasher when i used this mod last night. instead of 2 pods of 3, with the listed enemies, it was one pod of 3, which was the captain/heavy pod, and 2 other pods of 2, both with assorted aba variants (i think one was gunslinger/trooper and the other might have been sniper/trooper. but i'm not sure). is this intended, and one of the potential available spawns for gatecrasher, or is it a bug that i never encountered the medi-drone pod?

ABC mostly changes the main mission path which i believe is kept intact by CI. So i think that should work. Not 100% sure. My suggestion is to sub to ABC first, then CI to give CI priority. If you do use a mod manager with load order, make ABC load first so CI can overwrite what it needs to.

Love the Better series of mods, but now I want to try out Covert Infiltration. Does anyone know if this Better Campaign mod causes any negative issues with Covert Infiltration? Or will it have any effect at all? I'm not sure how much CI changes the campaign aspects of the game. Thanks.

I would expect them to clash, but i have no actual experience with that mod.
