Hidden-Base-(Ultracheap)

Description
tl;dr: a hidden underground base you can build a small decoy building on. Comes with an enclosed room for O2 and water generators.

--

So, you dug everything out of your starter planet, have all the materials needed for a CV... and seven stacks of rock dust collecting... uh, even more dust?

Here's a blueprint you can use those in, go hover on a lake on your target planet, and drop the blueprint so the top bars just skim the water level (not necessary to build near a lake, but you lose out on a nice feature otherwise).
Dig away the rock out and you get what *looks* like a landing pad and a foundation.

Do build some random stuff on top, or maybe a stylish RP-only house, your choice.

Your _real_ base is well protected underground (the core is at the end, buried under the most terrain).

Features:
- Stone (dust) age technology: tier3, with minimal metal requirements. If you take out the single ventilator it's _Tier Zero_
- 1 T1 fuel tank, 2 small O2 tanks, 1 small generator and the core (all well protected at the back). Add in a ventilator and 3 airtight doors and that's it as far as moving parts go.
- A single access stairway you can easily camouflage, there's 1 empty block at the bottom if you want to put in a surprise for visitors.
- Two rooms with plenty of space for your stuff, and a third 3 blocks high for bigger utilities like forges. All pressurized.
- A tunnel (hidden under the walkway) to an unpressurized room filled with water (hidden under the landing pad), to drop your O2, H2O2 and water generators in. Comes with corkscrewing stairs so you can rise up even while holding things.
- An unpressurized Core room with no walls or floor. Because I like to have a cave in my cave. You can start expanding from here, or just leave it bare for RP. (Core is accessible, but it takes only a single block to close the core structure off)
- Said core structure contains the core (duh), the tanks and the generator. There are 2 empty spaces if you want to put in some other emergency equipment and then wall the whole thing off. 3 if you want something to peek out for style.
- Clearly marked pathways on top and inside, so you know where to dig. And Clearly marked depth levels outside, so you know where _not_ to dig. All with regular paint (because the paintgun is tier zero, so you can easily remove them).
- Pretty good structural integrity for an empty concrete box. When building on top please take a look where the support pillars are.
- 2166 Rock Dust, 55 Copper Ingots, 52 Cobalt Ingots, 52 Iron Ingots, 36 Silicon ingots. It's cheaper than a shuttle crashed into a gravel pit.

Disadvantages:
- It's a bit resource intensive for a starter base, even if rock dust is cheap and plentiful you'll need a lot. Your drills are better blunted elsewhere when starting from zero.
- It's not really built to whitstand a serious bombardment (all concrete). However you can armour up or replace the roofs as you see fit, with whatever you have on hand. And the core is underground, if you space the turrets out chances are attackers will not even graze your main base.
- It's totally empty... umh, this might count as an advantage too... well, if you want a ready to go solution, this is not the blueprint for you.

Notes:
- While placing, about 1/3 to 1/2 of the lenght should be on water. (steeper inclines allow for more water space, a shallow beach could expose some rooms if you go too much out.) The core is at the end away from you.
- As with everything in which position is important, you should really try it out in creative mode first.
- This blueprint is for *the _empty_ underground part* only, the additional structures in the screenshots are to showcase a complete base with a decoy built on top.
- Everything is untextured and unpainted, save for the pathways and the core shielding structure.

Legal stuff:
- This file is free for everyone to modify, use and distribute as they please. Just don't sue me if you get cursed using it or something.
- It's nice if you link back here when uploading a derivative work, but not mandatory.
- Always have fun.

I tryed it, nice design color tiles help, plenty big. but takes 10 drill charges to emty all the rooms.
i placed all under the surface.Maybe place 1 cube by door for depth reference and to find the door faster

Thanks Krougal :)
Oh, and for the repair dock, if you swap it with the central block of the landing platform it does not compromise structural integrity.

Btw: expanding the landing platform, from personal experience, should be done in increments.

(posting a detailed description, it might help someone starting who cames across it)

e.g.: go out horizontally 3 or 4 blocks on a corner, then create a column deeper than the lake floor by holding the mouse button (I had some cases in which the support column crashed down even if it looked like it was resting firmly on the ground).
Rinse and repeat how many time is needed (and in the directions you want) and only after you're sure the support pillars are actually supporting pave the floor. (you can check structural integrity by holding N and selecting the appropriate options in the menu that pops up)

Awesome! I came to the same conclusion lately, WTF do I do with all this rock dust, and I could use a repair dock for my CV, so I had started working on a similar base, but yours is definitly cooler. The Artemis even fits on the landing platform too. Bravo!
