Given the context of the game, saying that it wasn't one of my favorites this year would make me more human.

When Lies Of P was announced, it came across to me as a 'Dark Souls of Pinocchio,' and I wondered who was crazy enough to create that random mash-up. Today, I'm grateful for the mind that had this brilliant idea. It's not a random mash-up; people just didn't know they needed a Pinocchio Souls-like.

It really impresses me how everything in this game comes together so seamlessly. The story is deep and filled with philosophies, the characters we meet along the way are charismatic and have strong personalities. The environments are extremely beautiful and well-imagined, there are various weapon and skill combinations, and the music is wonderful; I could easily write a review just praising it. Everything in this game is graceful and well-crafted; the storytelling experience with everything I mentioned is truly unforgettable and unique.

As for gameplay, there are indeed some flaws. You may feel it's unfair or even overly punishing, or that the mechanics don't work quite right, but it wasn't enough to break my immersion. I didn't care how challenging the fights were; I wanted to proceed to see how the story would end, and I can assure you that all the stress is worth it in the end.

I could spend a month praising this game, and I would still lack words to express the admiration I've developed for it. After all, my 65 hours in it don't allow me to lie.

Although the comparison to Dark Souls is inevitable, Lies Of P certainly deserves its own space. It's a spectacle in the form of a Souls-like, and I hope it receives the attention and admiration it deserves.

Easily my top 3 of the year so far.
