SPOILERS AHEAD:
It's difficult to get Olivia to open up to you, with how reserved and cynical she is towards most people. She believes people approach her and compliment her artwork out of pity, making her skeptical if people are really being sincere. Because of this, she sets up an emotional wall around herself, even blocking off her relatives and friend from getting close to her. EX: she corrects herself whenever she refers to her adopted family as relatives; refusing to use 'aunt' or 'uncle'. She still keeps in contact with her biological dad, but is unable to spend time with him due to him being busy all the time with work.

It's sad to see her disregard others help as she isolates herself to her own thoughts and emotions. But that's where we (inco) come in, to help her change her ways of isolating herself from everything and everyone. Though, later in the game, Olivia struggles to overcome the death of someone she was close to. So not only does she needs to self-reflect, but cope with a loss. You're pretty much responsible on how Olivia copes with Death and what habits to break to better herself. So, choices do heavily matter in this game.

This game got personal and hit close to home. Getting to know Inco and Olivia's characters taught me how I'm no different than them in a few aspects. Especially since Olivia reminds me of an old friend. And that probably goes for a lot of people too. So, being able to think back on and change my decisions in the game gives me a sense of redeeming myself for mistakes I made in the past (ik, very sentimental, but so is IWHTG)
