I just recently finished Half-Life 2, for the second time. The first was some time ago. But this time, finishing the game was different. My daughter watched me play through the game, always pointing out little things. After I completed the game, she said "Dad, I really liked watching you play Half-Life 2" And I said "I know, it was fun, but now it's over and I will be playing something else." She looked at me, full of innocence, and said, "Well, maybe you can get Half-Life 3, and I can watch you play it?" I looked at her, moisture rimming my eyes, and said, "I don't think that is going to happen hun, there isn't a Half-Life 3, and likely won't ever be." I will give this game a recommend, because it is amazing. But with no closure in sight, it's a difficult decision. All I can say is:

"Wake up, Mr. Freeman"

I am a 52 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single farther to my Son, who is 16 now. My son got Raft for Christmas in 2021 from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 20 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I could maybe play Raft alongside him. I loaded into the game, selected my character, and started playing but I was stuck on what you were supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he hosted a game for me to join. I loved it as it was the best time I had spent with my Son ever since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought me and my son closer again and, ever since, we now actually spend time together outside the house together as well. This game reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my happy memories.
