If you played and loved the first Freedom Planet, then this is definitely worth getting... Because this is better than the first one in almost every way.
7 years of development? Totally worth it if you ask me!
I love this game!

An interesting Deck based Mega Man Battle Network esque game with good spritework, smooth animations, beautiful music, and 9 different playable characters, each with their own unique mechanic to use.
Sadly, there's not much of a story here. There is, but there is not much of a plot to follow while playing, which makes sense though because this is also a Rogue-like game. I just wish I had more answers to some questions I had about the game's world.

You're gonna have to throw yourself at sometimes impossible seeming puzzles, but it's all worth it for a bunch of Demon Gal Pals (and an Angel).

This game has some elements that I almost wish every side scrolling action game had, like enemies only being able to hurt you if they actually attack you. And multiple playable characters.

My main gripe with this game is that the game feels slightly unfinished at times, like some things in story that should be seen or explained just aren't. This is partially due to the cancelled DLC that I also wish came out.

You see... This is a bit of a weird game to review... Did I have fun with it? Yeah. Did I have a bad time playing it? Yeah. Do I like the story? Yeah. Have I beaten the game? No. At least in single player, this game is damn near impossible to play. You can be level 35, take on a level 25 quest and get your ass kicked. Then you play a level 35 quest at level 35 and play it perfectly balanced. This game, while pretty neat and cool in some areas, is weighed down too much by other things. For example, many items can give you minor temporary boosts. However, EVERY SINGLE ENEMY IN THE GAME CAN GIVE YOU A DEBUFF THAT MAKES IT VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO AVOID ATTACKS... So... At least in single player, I would not recommend this game, which is a shame. They really focused on the multiplayer aspect it seems, and threw a single player option in at the last second. That's how this game feels.

This game is a game of a Dream! I recommend this game to anyone who loves side scrolling shooters, and is looking for a twist on the gameplay!

This game... Is AMAZING! The story, the characters, the bosses, the puzzles! Out of tens and tens of puzzles, only two left me a little frustrated. The game will leave you with heart break! Joy! And satisfaction that reaches the moons!

This game is a breath of fresh air! It takes similar playstyles from different Mega Man franchises, and turns them into an Arcade like style! The items can be pretty creative! Although their usefulness varies. The character and boss designs are charming! I really like it!

While I do like all of these aspects, there are a few things that I personally don't like... There is almost no story at all. The story I know, is that you're hired to take care of 8 rogue robots. That's it. But what about Hawk? What about Draco? Were they hired too? The cutscenes say otherwise.

On the topic of Hawk and Draco, you know nothing about them. Which links back to the almost no story thing. And that brings me to another point, the characters have very lightly hinted at personalities. I know that they don't need personalities in a game like this, or much of a backstory either, but it would be nice to have them.

Also, the randomly generated levels can be annoying at times. VERY annoying.

Anyways, back to the cool stuff! The bosses, most of them, are fun to fight! All of them are awesome to fight in the mid levels, like 3 and 4! But when you get to level 5, a lot of them start to become more... Asinine. And the final two bosses, go straight back to being awesome! And plot twist-y!! (If you catch my cold)

I love this game! It's such a time killer! I rate this game Dice/10

(Final thought(s): I think I see what the developers are doing, they made Hawk and Draco, both of them are named after core Augments I think! The OwlHawk and DracoPent armor sets. If that's the case, then I REALLY want characters named after the other two sets as well! I hope two new characters are made, I'd pay for them!!!)

(Takes a deep breath) I love it, I love everything about it!
(Play the game, you'll see why I say it like that!)
10/10
