The world isn't perfect but that can be the chance to do the best you can, even in the worst situations. Hardship is a test of valor.

Hate to say it, but in the end . . . I cried. Not for long, as the tears were replaced by a dumbfounded smile, yet I did - this game is beautiful, one of the best jrpgs out there, with likeable characters and a deep and moving story, that may go on looping in your mind after having reached its end.

As for the combat, it's very similar to Persona, or at the extreme limit, SMT, while being clearly easier than this latter one - just keep in mind to farm as many MP items as you can, as they will be in limited numbers throughout the game.

Otherwise many things in this game will have exceeded my expectations, although they were high - Metaphor: ReFantazio pretends to be a bit more than "just a game", it also wants to be a true epic tale in the way they were told in long gone times, as well as a parable (well, metaphor) and ellipse about the world we live in, about our true friendships, ideals and courage in the face of adversity and pain. And the thing is, it manages to be these too, in a masterful way.

I found the game amazing in all aspects - the art created for it was the best from all Atlus games so far imo, the music, often a high quality symphonic one, gives to the game an additional feeling of "grandeur", the dialogues are of a more mature nature than in Persona games, and the combats present some good challenge, while remaining very accessible to most players - so the bar is set very high for the next Atlus games. Now speaking of Atlus, please deliver us all of them SMT games on here, I want to cry some more ^^
