everything about this game is great there's really nothing to complain about.
the only issue i ran into was the camera being a bit annoying when using a mouse. it felt kind of clunky. but with a controller, it works perfectly fine.
overall, i definitely recommend playing it with a controller for the best experience.

While I'll always advocate for playing Ninja Gaiden II on an Xbox console, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black fixes enough of my complaints with Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, I feel comfortable recommending NG2B to anyone that doesn't feel the need to track down a console just to play one game.

The game looks and handles well in Unreal Engine. The purple mist in Sigma 2 was never a deal breaker for me, but it is good to know that I'll never have to resort to playing Sigma 2 ever again. Hopefully as years go on the modding scene can get this even closer to feeling the 360 Masterpiece.

I'll never understand why they straight up removed the UT mechanic on Bow and Shurikens for Sigma 2; I always assumed it some kind of technical limitation of the PS3, but given the fact that it isn't present in NG2B, it comes across now as a conscious design choice to omit it.

Also, for anyone that's still wondering, yeah, the 360°+Y move with the Eclipse Scythe is still pretty busted.

Classic action game with a shiny new coat of UE5 graphics. It's campy, extremely gory and generally a fun time. It doesn't always look great, but it generally looks good with a couple of stand out levels. The action gameplay is as great as it was years ago. I think the general mobs are where the fun lies, I'm not particularly fond of the bosses, all of which aren't great by today's standards. Boss fights are... serviceable at best. They range from too easy/bland to too annoying, I wouldn't call any of them fun. The weapon variety is good - there's no shortage of sharp or blunt instruments to eviscerate and bludgeon fiends and ninjas into bloody goop.

On a technical level the game is fine. I played at 1440p / locked 60 fps with maxed settings and DLAA. (4070 Ti Super). No stuttering.
