Very fun game with creative minigames and beautiful artstyle. I had some misgivings for the multiplayer but it seems to be working perfectly.

I bought this game with the hope of making maps in my spare time for my D&D campaigns. Unfortunately I quickly realized that the game lacks some basic options one would want in a map gaming software
-There is no elevation. The screenshots are misleading and you assume there would be something as basic as that but there isn't so you are trapped into making flat maps without much character
-The water looks very peculiar and works funny. There seems to be some physics involved in the rivers which I do not understand as a design choice. It doesn't help and often produces glitches when trying to make a river run through your village. It doesn't look good and I constantly tried to decorate it with flowers and bushes to make it look good
-Several tools don't make sense. You click on a house and accidentally pick the corner, now you disfigure the room and regenerate it, redo doesn't work for this. It doesn't make any sense. Bush placers also place linear bushes that completely ruin what you're making. Rooms don't click with eachother and there's no intuitive-userfriendly way to place them consecutively.

There are many more things I could write that through me off while I was trying to use it. I appreciate the effort the creators put into making this game but it is not for me.

I originally thought the game's selling point would be it's sense of doom but I was delighted to find out that there's an immersive setting, a very well paced expansion window and a suspenseful onslaught for which you need to brace your self and make use as best you can of the terrain.
Within a couple of days of purchasing is I've spend about 10 hours genuinely invested in the outcome and being careful of the slightest move I make. This game awards good decisions and really punishes mistakes which makes it feel all the more rewarding when you succeed in fending off the enemy while growing your base.

As far as criticism I would say that the unit variety is just enough although there could be more. Both for aesthetic reasons but also for a variety of options.

This is a very decent colony sim that boasts a wide array of buildings and technologies. Having played many colony sims I was very surprised to see that every building had a couple of possible upgrades, synergies and dependencies that kept me invested in the game and the process. I tried a peaceful run first and now I've moved on to the normal run with bandits, beasts and natural disasters which add suspense to an already engaging experience. The trading mechanic is quite ingenious and you will try to appease your foreign friends in order to get their sweet unlockables that make your life much easier.

However, I have a couple of criticisms that I have to add:
1)There is no "recreation" mechanic in the game. Although there are a multitude of resources like wine, tequila, coffee, tea etc. and a mechanic of "stress", I feel like there is a huge lost opportunity with recreational buildings and passtime for your villagers. There are no inns or playgrounds while Theatres and chuches seem to just affect the people within range of their circle.
2)The steam workshop leaves a lot to be desired. This is not a critisicm of the game, unless they've made modding particularly difficult, but one would expect that a low poly game like this would have quite an extensive selection of custom buildings and models etc. Instead there are a few basically cheating mods with fast production times

I got this game in a bundle with a few other similar ones and I have to say I recommend them all. Dorfromantik is the most addictive out of all of them because it's not only a builder but a puzzle too. In fact the puzzle part of the game is what is going to make you play it again and again until you figure out that there is a strategy to be found in the seemingly RNG generation of tiles. It has charming art and is an easy recommendation.

Before I go on to give some examples of how this game is really bad I want to say that I liked the concept and hoped it wouldn't be this bad.
-Controls are horrible both on keyboard mouse and on gamepad with no way of improving them.
-Although the game is a simple driving game you find yourself controlling a hideous robot lady with whom you have to get in the car to play the actual game.
-The contents of the game are just uninspired with no clear goal. You're driving down a road and get instantly obliterated if you so much as touch the pavement. You swerve through the few difficult curves and just go on the next stage.
-Achievements don't work
-Floating stuff, sometimes controls don't work, bad design in the background with some buildings being bright while others being totally black.

I can't recommend this game at all

I came here after playing Space Marines 2 and I was delighted to find that it was a very easy playthrough for a game this old. Pure unadulterated fun reinforced by a recent excitement about the world of 40k and its indiscriminate killing. There are things like blood effects and map clutter that do remind you that this is an older game but it doesn't seem to matter even if you've just logged out of it's recent gorgeous sequel.
There was also an element of nostalgia not for this game, which I've never played beforel, but for xbox or ps2 games that share it's style. This game has the graphics we think we remember old games to have had so it does play with that subtle longing of our adolescence.
I strongly recommend this game to anyone who has recently started getting into this universe but I must say that it was a short playthrough in case you expect something longer.

A deeply immersive game set in the Lovecraftian world, Sinking City has been a joy to play and a strong recommendation. There's something satisfying in walking through a city during the early 1900s with your collar high on your neck and madmen walking past you muttering and talking to themselves. An eerie feeling in the air and talk of strange creatures circling around a flooded city buried in secrets.. Interesting characters with their stories and motives. Details you can find scattered around houses that complete the picture and urge you pay attention to everything. This is my first venture to the Lovecraft world in gaming and it has exceeded my expectations.
It is not a perfect game however and I should note some its weaknesses. Assets and locations have been extensively reused and one can't help but noticing it even if they don't try to complete it's far-too-many side quests. Some of the side quests have had interesting stories but many others were repetitive quests of killing mobs and interacting with one or two things. This wouldn't be a problem if coupled with some variety in gameplay and design but unfortunately it is not the case.
Choices matter, in a sense, in this game which welcomes a second playthrough. I, however, don't think I'll be doing so because of its dragged out side-quests and a general "fatigue" I realised I felt playing it.

When I first played this I expected just a 3D version of Among Us. However there are some key differences that makes this experience very different.
-Anyone can have a gun and kill
-The game doesn't end when the bad guys are dead
This makes every game a paranoid fiesta where everyone is suspicious of everyone and most deaths are between the good guys.
I really recommend this game hahaha

Unfortunately this is unplayable on my PC (3060, 12600, 32 GB DDR5 ram) and this is just false advertising on their system requirements. Although the game is pretty and quite enjoyable the source of the stuttering and fps drops seem to be god awful optimization since even users with beasts for PCs get the same experience. I've tried several times to play the game but I often just shut it down after a while. This kind of performance makes you want to punch your monitor
